Interestingly, that is one of the reasons Palpatine is doing what he is. He really does believe the Republic has failed and wants to be rid of it and he's not just powergrabbing. He's quoted as thinking in the TPM novelisation that he hates the corruption and graft. That sort of ties in with the theory that the Balance really is that good gets blurred into evil and visa versa. His motives are basically clean, but the way he goes about them is twisted and altogether evil. Very, Very interesting to know Dooku thinks that in part as well. Now if I remember right, it was Qui Gon's death that disillusioned Dooku and that was the reason he left the Jedi and the Republic in the first place.

If you remember the pic of Yoda holding that ball of lightning in his hand. Has anyone figured out exactly what significance this has? I had a theory that Count Doku at one point of the battle between them tries to send Force Lightning at him, but Yoda somehow manages to collect the energy of the blast into a ball and send it back at Doku. The other possibility is, he somehow manages to generate this energy on his own. One thing I am sure of though, it is going to be awesome to watch, whatever it is.

Any thoughts on this?

And obviously, the one thing I look forward to most is seeing Yoda fight!

I love the soundtrack! Across the Stars is very good, but I like track 12 and 13 even better; "Love Pledge & The Arena" and "Confrontation With Count Doku & Finale". In fact, I think all of the tracks are rather brilliant in their own way. They set the mood for the different parts of the movie perfectly, and it is easy to visualise what is happening from the music. I also think track 3 is rather special, because it has an electric guitar in there, which makes it kind of unique. :)

I read Jango gets decapatiated and that Boba sees it, which is very cool in my mind. Cooler than if he just fell off a cliff.

I don't believe Dooku and Tyranus are the same person. Odd, but I think one's a clone.

Yes, Yoda balls up the lightning and sends it back, very cool.

Jango also using a flamethrower, rocket launcher, jet pack, and retractable claws.

Yoda is said to be "probing" the Darkside.

I have some questions:

Is there any final word on Yoda's lightsaber. Which color will the blade be? Gold or green?

The Yoda probing the dark side part is mentioned in the script (I think), so I believe that is correct. It is described as very dangerous but necessary to see into the future, revealing the Sith and Doku's plans. This might explain why Yoda knows at the end of the movie, the so called victory had all been a defeat. "Begun the clone wars has"

I seem to remember there is a bluprint of the Death Star some point in the movie, in Palpatine's office. Is this correct?

Will we see a holocron, as reported earlier? And where/when/how?
