Golf is thoroughly boring, and I have to be in exactly the right mood to watch it. Unless said golf is in the movie "Happy Gilmore."

Vinny Red

Happy gilmour makes for a happy VJ ( the right way to spell it :p )

I would rather watch Titanic again than watch sport.

Arya Ravenwing
Apr 16th, 2002, 04:57:24 PM
I liked Titanic. :p But I'd rather watch golf than the WWF. Not that that is really a sport, anyway...

Oh, and LL, still no phone line my place. :(

Dalethria Mal Pannis

Golf ew .. WWF whoohoo!! Titanic. Any scene not with Leo was good :)

Hey I like Golf!!!! While I consider it more of a pastime then a sport I still like golf.

Add mini before golf then I am with you :)

I tried out for the Golf Team at school, this guy named Matt and I goofed off the entire time. Happy Gilmore style. Playing "pool" with the ends of the clubs. Seeing how far we could launch the ball with a putter. Even tried a bit of Hockey style. Not to mention the "Light Saber" fights and the tossing of the clubs. For some unknown reason, we didnt make the team.

Apr 16th, 2002, 11:43:53 PM
Wow, it is hard to believe why ... :p

Someone that I worked with for close to nine years has a son who is an amazing golfer. He got a scholarship for it and went to all the regional competitions and all that

Live Wire
Apr 16th, 2002, 11:53:23 PM
oh I like mini golf too. And yes I've also done the golf clubs as lightsabers. Thats fun until you're told to stop.....then you wait till they leave and do it again. bwahahahahahaa

Driving Range? Range of driving! Quick! To the Danger Cart!
We must drive on this range! For I command it!

The setting: China Lake Naval Base in Ridgecrest California; the on-base golf course.

Time of day: I won't tell.

The culprit: Yours truly

The weapon of destruction: One four-wheeler

The crime: Tearing across the greens without a care in the world.

The evidence? Try the nice tiretracks lacing the course :D

I honestly do enjoy golfing when I get the chance, but the oppertunity was there; it was such a temptation, and I caved. After going through the desert for a few hours, the sight of untarnished green was too much to resist.

You'd think with being a hockey player and following the stereotypical hockey player, that I'd be a good golfer. Only problem is that i"m not just the worst skiier in the world (as the sig shows), but also the worst golfer

SNOWPLOW!

Golf is a game made by aristocratic, boring, right-handed people, and I abhor it.

Not only because I am left handed, but also because I am poor, and whenever I can play, I suck at it. I'm not about to pay 500 bucks for a set of clubs so I can continue to suck at it while I pay greens fees.

But I do like watching it...and given that 10,000 dollars fell in my lap, and a set of lefty clubs, I would get into it, I think

Hey!

Golf was created by Scots......so I suppose the boring stuff is accurate...but our wild red headed cousins to the north dont all have a tendency towards the right hand...anyway, golf played according to true Scottish rules dosent need clubs....all you need is an uprooted tree and the heads of a couple a dead Englishmen.

Fun for all

:cool

Dude, I keep forgetting you're left-handed.

*Burns info into memory for the umpteenth time.*

:rolleyes

(Yes, yes, that was indeed random.)

Dark Lord Dyzm
Apr 17th, 2002, 01:12:18 PM
lol... They do have left handed clubs

Anywho...

I havnt played Golf for over 2 years. I still go to the driving range with my dad once in awhile, and I seem to have gotten rid of all that slicing and hooking. It goes the exact direction I want it to any time. Just not the distance.

Charley
Apr 17th, 2002, 01:22:24 PM
I know they do, but you can't exactly go up to anybody and be able to borrow them.

Live Wire
Apr 17th, 2002, 01:27:35 PM
lol I never said I played golf well....I suck at golf. Doesnt stop me though. And watching its always fun. However Im pretty good at mini golf....at least I was two years ago. :D

I only like Mini-Golf. What's the fun of playing if you don't have some wacky contraption to shoot the ball through? :) It ain't golf if it doesn't have a comical disproportionate windmill, I tell you!
