Helenias had some truly awful news....

She's allergic to chocolate.

What the hell am I to do now???????? She'll get chocolate cravings that I must not help with!

AGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Have you guys ever tried to deny a woman chocolate, even for her own good???

Gah... I don't know what to tell you. I mean there is no substitute.

Run, Forrest, run.

Apr 14th, 2002, 11:13:22 PM
Chocolate subsitute? Is there such a thing? If not, I say you give her vanilla. I like it better than chocolate anyway. I mean in Ice Cream and Cake.

Live Wire
Apr 14th, 2002, 11:16:01 PM
You're so screwed!!!

Nothing can substitue for chocolate. Poor Helenias!!

Shawn
Apr 14th, 2002, 11:34:07 PM
Vanilla is better. Especially French Vanilla. Subtle difference, but it's just so much more rich. :)

Apr 15th, 2002, 12:49:46 AM
I don't know, I'll take strawberries anyday

* drools *

mmmm strawberries

Sage Hazzard
Apr 15th, 2002, 01:00:03 AM
Yes, french or "Homemade". And the ultimate is half strawberry, half vanilla!

If I were you, Marcus, I'd get her every other dessert possible. Perhaps that could fill the void. :)

Well, we all saw what happened to Ol Yeller when they found out he was allergic to chocolate...

Apr 15th, 2002, 11:48:08 AM
Damn! You ppl make it sound like it's a life-and-death-big-deal!!!

She'll survive. I personally would take vanilla over chocolate any day. Chocloate has this nasty habit of making me break out, so I steer clear of it. My skin just has a reaction to it, kinda like an allergic reaction almost, cept I don't break out into hives or anything horrific like that.

But I do have an exceptionally HUGE sweet tooth. Sugar is my friend. It is what feeds my neuclear-reactor-for--a-motabolism 9unless I'm pumped with adreniline... that's worse).

But seriously, there are plenty of other candies out there. Lots and lots of other kinds. She can live without chocolate. Just find other substitutes for when she has a craving. And above all, be patient. :)

Peyote. Lots and lots of peyote.

Lilaena De'Ville
Apr 15th, 2002, 04:24:04 PM
peyote! LMAO

Everyone already said it, but I'll add: Chocolate is to me, what lasagna is to Garfield. Poor Helenias!

Try vanilla, and how on earth did she find out she was allergic to chocolate!?

Marcus Telcontar
Apr 15th, 2002, 05:06:22 PM
Helenias comes out in a rash when she eats chocolate now. She's sad :(

My g/f may die if she had that problem. That is sad dude.

Alpha
Apr 15th, 2002, 05:22:39 PM
My g/f would have the same problem. she lives on chocolate...and apples.

Leia1031
Apr 15th, 2002, 05:31:01 PM
Well, I'm glad I don't have that problem. Not a big fan of chocolate anyways, but it is nice to have it every now and then. But yeah, maybe white chocolate would be better for her, or like everyone else keeps saying, vanilla. I love vanilla. Especially if it's Haggan Daz vanilla ice cream. MMMmmmmmmm. :p

Apr 15th, 2002, 05:35:36 PM
When people keep saying vanilla - do you mean as in ice-cream or can vanilla come in some solid form like a chocolate bar, I've never seen it myself, or do you mean putting vanilla flavouring in different things?

Alpha
Apr 15th, 2002, 06:19:44 PM
Anyone ever tried drinking vanilla straight? NASTY stuff! I had thought since it smelled so good, it should taste good too...I was wrong...

Live Wire
Apr 15th, 2002, 06:45:01 PM
Try white chocolate, try dark chocolate.....if those dont work I dont know what to tell you.

I'd die without chocolate and trust me when one is a true chocolate lover vanilla in any form isnt good enough. And I say that as a true home made french vanilla ice cream lover.

Hey....firstly, my deepest condolences, I hope I never have to deal with the tricky (and potentially deadly) situation that is denying a woman anything...so, instead of toting my vanilla fetish like some others, I will attempt to help you out.

Of all the replys previous to this, the only idea I can see working is the substitution of chocolate for somthing else.

Now...I may not be good at much, but I pride myself on my culinary skills...nothing may be able to fill the gaping void that is left by mighty-nurturing-sweet-sweet chocolate but I have a few recipies for some quite exceptional desserts that dont include chocolate in any way.

If youre interested just gimme a yell..my address is occupying the usuall space in my profile. :)

:lol @ Alpha! I tasted straight vanilla extract once too. Did you know that stuff is like, 90% alchohol? And you're right, it IS nasty! The smell doesn't do the taste justice. :)

lol! thats like when I was in HS some of my friends saw the alcohol content on those little strong drops of breath freshener. Ice drops or something like that and bought a bunch of them and tried to get high or drunk or something. They ended up getting sick lol! Ahhhh...memories....the sad things underage kids will do for alcohol.
