Starbalz sues Lucas

The producers of the animated porn flick Starballz have sued George Lucas for $140 million after Lucas accused them of marketing the movie to kids. Media Market Group maintains that the sex parody is intended only for adults and that Lucas's accusation damaged the company. In January, Lucas unsuccessfully attempted to block MMG from distributing the film, saying that Starballz exploited Lucas's intellectual property, presented it in an offensive manner, and directed it at children. In a court filing, MMG observed that it "has never directed pornography to children" and noted that the cover states "Adult Only" in three places.

Actaully as I remember what Lucas was refering was that the SW movie was for children and should not be used for a porn film, so I think this lawsuit will last an hour and be thrown out.

Actually, JMC, the story goes further than that. Lucas tried to sue the makers of Star Ballz and lost. This is the return suit by MMG. The court found in MMG's favour that Star Ballz was a parody, was clearly not intended for children and could not be mistaken for the original. This is the damages claim. MMG in fact has a very solid case going for it and now even has a finding of fact (ie court judgement) in it's favour.

I know that but I don't think any judge would allow a porn studio to win a damage case, its not like they have been forever harmed, they make porn films for crying out aloud if any judge awards them victory in this case, they should be thrown off the bench.
