FULLSCREEN, I love that blatant false advertising. It should be illegal to call it anything but what it is: chopped and hacked version.

Anyone who buys that seriously must be a total idiot. I can't believe they even are putting out a pan and scan version of such an epic film that obviously needs to be seen in its entirety.

I cannot wait for that DVD, literally, that is way too long. I did see the film twice in theaters, but that's not much. I mean, hehe, I saw The Count of Monte Cristo 3 times already and it's a fairly long film too, but not LOTR long.

Oh well, I look forward to getting that DVD, it'll be really fun to review I am sure, haha. That is half sarcastic as the dang thing will have so many extra features it'll take like 5 hours just to do a fairly decent job I bet.

I am going to wait for the November, there is no point in buying the one in August, because the one in November has so much more on it.

Me too, I'm waiting for the November release.

I can't wait to see how the movie plays out with the extra footage. The one scene I thought was sorely missing from the movie was the gift-giving scene. Glad it's been added in the Extra-Super-special DVD edition :)

I wouldn't buy this version. I'd probably rent it out for a night though. :)

I'm waiting as well. I want the extra couple months to read the book before I see TTT.

And people say Lucas milks his fans. At least he doesnt release two DVDs within three months. KER-CHING!

Yeah that is extremely bad. Three months apart, talk about cheap. Jeez.

I don't know if I want to buy the DVD in August only to get a new set in November. I suppose I could give my first copy away in a contest or something, and I do need to rent it anyway so I can review it, but dang.

Does anyone feel the temptation to own every single version of it's release, like I do with Star Wars?

I wonder why they even bothered release the one in August? Though I have to imagine its because of VHS sales (which still exist) and rentals which they can make some good money on.

You know what the real problem could be?

You put the disk in your player but being The One Disk it makes your player disappear. You then end up poking blindly at the front panel for the play button(or eject button...which ever comes first) or finding the long lost remote.
