... concerning the closing of Lilaena's thread addressed to LL?

http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12687

I was going to respond, but thought I'd hold off just to make sure no one else already has.

Not me.

Would you like me to respond then?

Here's the message she sent me:

I'm not sending this to cause trouble, I just have something to point out regarding consistency of rule enforcement. I'm just confused as to why this thread gets locked and closed:

http://www.swforums.net/forum/showt...&threadid=12664

And this thread, which is essentially the same thing (asking someone to come on a messenger program) is not locked and closed:

http://www.swforums.net/forum/showt...&threadid=12687

Thank you for your time.
If I was the only one who received it then it would probably be best that I personally respond.

Sounds like stirring up trouble with TSE's problems with the "clique" as they refer to myself, Nup, LL, Dale and a few others, if you ask me, but in an innocent way. Fett Closed the previous topic and I actually came along and decided to close the one she linked in that just a little while ago seeing that I deleted one similar just a few days back. (after telling the poster of it I would).

Its best you respond, since she contacted you. :)

:: shrugs ::

I've been missing a few things lately cuz my head has been scrambled :lol

who can blame me :p

I will be mindful of it in the future but it has nothing to do with favortism :|

Well I responded back. I loved my first sentence:

They are both closed.

:)

But anyway I just stated that a mod was probably cleaning up the forum, and that she probably just saw the inconsistency in the middle of it.

Or about the JCC. Or about the Spoilers policy. Or about Literature and a new mod. Or about a new Literature forum. Or about religion in the Senate Floor. Or about ...

:p

Oh BTW, I had a chat to Dara just not and she said the reason she contacted me was because I was the only one she could see online.

TheHolo.Net
Mar 27th, 2002, 06:36:48 PM
Like that is a very noteworthy complaint coming from someone who also uses invisible mode. Oh wait, maybe its not a complaint. I suppose I should be a little more open minded in her case.......maybe.

Champion of the Force
Mar 27th, 2002, 06:40:52 PM
It didn't come off as a complaint. She simply said I was the only one she saw on the Who's Online list. So she contacted me.

Oikies, sorry I'm cynical about it. :)

Oh, that's right... I'm still invisible. Damn.

Ogre: I would say that a certain amount of cynicism is warranted in Dara's case.

Champion of the Force

Well please try and keep your cynicism to yourself.

I don't want to log on tomorrow and have an angry PM from Dara demanding to know why I blabbed her PM to me in our mod forum.

No worries. What I say and do here, stays here as far as I am concerned. :)

Bad Fett!!!!

I like being invisible LOL cuz if people know I am on then I might have to be open in AIM land... and when I am reading the boards I am doing other things too... for school and stuff Having constant convos at once while doing stuff is a pain LOL

So ... should I be in the open or not? Curious if that should actually be policy or not?

TheHolo.Net
Mar 28th, 2002, 12:28:29 AM
I don't think it should be a policy. Contacting staff through use of posts in Communication PM email or whatnot works well enough. A slight problem one person has with consistency over a period of less than two hours from begginning of thread to closing of thread is without much merit IMO.

True enough. I have had peeps PM me when they need things and it gets done.
