They make USA Government security look like mall cops. My god. When we their for a Clinic the second day, they like had us watched the whole time by cameras, didn't let us take any photos or video record anything. There were security guards at the doors. And that was for the clinic. When we played it was far worse. We weren't allowed to speak to anyone unless asked a question by a guest about who we were. Yarg! It's Disney World, you'd figure they are nice "backstage." That's the big thing that urked me that I feel I can share in this forum without being yelled at.

I don't think you've seen the airports these days.
Turst me, no one has any better security then the US Government!
Not even Disney...

Oh hell yes. You are watched every second you are on disney property. I know it seems obsessive but there is no place I feel safer then disneyland. I dont worry about walking to my car in the structure or being around there by myself cause there are always people and cameras and everyone knows it.

One week after 9/11, a man was stopped in Britain getting off a plain from America. They had taken off him a knife in the US, and let him go still. Inside his suitcase were 5 knives, one of which was machete sized, and a can of mace.
Still, not as bad as our airport security. Out of cash? Go rob a plane! Just wander round the back, get it as it comes off. Everyones doing it! :)

*grumbles* I never noticed the security at Disneyland, although every time I went there, it rained. All day.

Heh. Well, I'm mainly talking about security behind the scenes, which most people don't see.

I believe it. Everytime we go to D-Land, the cops and security and whatnots are on patrol/look out.
As to it having better security than the airports, I can also believe it. LAX is still having problems. And they've just about trippled their security personel. |I

I had no problem with LAX when I went to CA over a year ago, of course I had good guides who knew the place so I wouldn't get lost in that place. Only problem I had was one of my ears didnt pop for an hour or two after landing LOL
As for Disneyland itself, there was a bit of security I noticed back then, but nothing overall bad. In fact I was impressed by how quick they were able to respond to various emergencies, while there one kid went missing and almost immediately there were several "guards" in the area.
I can only imagine that place being as tight as Fort Knocks now.
The only thing you need to really watch out in Disneyland for are the people.....they are bizarre and very very very cra-zy.:lol

Yah, the people at Disneyland are crazy, but not half as freaky as the people at a state fair.
I still have nightmares from the last time I went to the California State Fair.

South Carolina state fair was wacked, for every 1 citizen there, there had to be atleast 3 cops.

DIA is normal I think.
Last night I went to a concert and got thouroughly searched: my bag, my phone, me, etc. Took about three minutes.
Mexico airports were pretty weird. They have a random bag checker. If you happen to walk by it at the right time, it goes off and you get searched, head to toe. Your bag gets dumped and searched. The men who checked our passports and ID gave us a hard time. They thought it was amusing, until they found out I spoke spanish.
Disney - they have an entire underground city, beneath the park, which is almost bigger than the park. This is where they keep tabs on everyone. It's underground to keep the illusion of safety with you. You'd have no idea how much surveillance there is.
I remember in college, this professor of mine showed me one day - the campus was coded with cameras.... everywhere. I couldn't believe, but it made sense at the same time.

People, don't fool yourselves.. airport security very much blows hard where it counts. If you know what you're doing...
Things are being done halfway as usual. *shrug*

Just yesterday they were saying that some doctors were escorting a patient aboard a plane. The doctors were not searched at all. Had to turn the planes back for that one.
What I want to know, is how does employee reprimandation work there? Must be high turnover job.

Some people are just crazy. There was one part of Epcot at Disney World that reminded us of some US Mountain base in how it was built. Real creepy.

I have been all threw the damn park here in CA. In the under ground, in the back dressing rooms. you name it I have been down there. There is even a street under the main streets to get from one side to the other. Its soooooo odd.
And if you all want to see security, Ontairo Air Port. DAMN every 2 min's Guard's decked out walk past you. And if you have been sitting there for a while. They stand next to you. How odd feeling.
Or you can go to halloween haunt at Knots Berry farm... DAMN no costume's, ne jewlery, nothing damn near. They are Strict.
PLus half the monsters that run past you are guards, or cops playing for the night and getting paid to keep the peace. half of the people you see running like scared kids, are because they stole something and now they have a half dead cop from LAPD running after them. Hell I'd run too....

I went to Knott's Scarey Farm once. Really quite fun. And I woulda never guessed the gouls were cops. :lol

:lol That line about a half-dead LAPD cop made me laugh. I don't know why, but I think it was the mental picture I got.

I went to the airport today to pick up my sister and well, I was kinda disappointed only half a dozen guys with M-16's about to chew my face off. I was lucky and didn't get scanned. Though I still think disney security was tighter than Baltimore Washington International Airport.
