I just got back from the theatre where I saw the Coen brother's latest film...and their first "Blood Simple". They were doing a double feature...pretty sweet. :)

Anyways..."The Man Who Wasn't There" is a great throwback to the film noirs of the 30's and 40's(with a Coen twist, they more than any other filmmakers have a "style").

Billy Bob Thornton was terrific...as was all the cast. The lawyer was hysterical. As with most Coen films the dialogue was sharp and witty. The cinematography was amazing...I understand why Deakin's has won just about every critic and guild award for it.

All in all it was really fantastic. Of course the Coen's are not for everybody...but if you're a fan of their stuff...you'd love this.

*********

On another note...rent "Blood Simple". I'd never seen it before, but it was absolutely brilliant!

Is that the black-white flick with Thorton as a barber?
