Attack of the Clones DVD Rumors
Tuesday, March 12, 2002 - 11:53 AM EST by JarJar

Dark Horizons is reporting that the date for the Attack of the Clones DVD has been moved up from it's original release date of November 21, 2002 to October 21, 2002.

Originally scheduled for November 21st, rumours began today that Lucasfilm have 'unofficially' moved up the disc release of the second SW prequel to October 21st (and will include a doco imaginatively titled "The Middle").

Neither of the two mentioned dates happens to be on a Tuesday, meaning one of two things:

1. Lucasfilm is not following current release standards (films are always released on Tuesdays).
2. Both dates are fabrications, and have no real value. Sensible date adjustments would be October 22, 2002 or November 19, 2002.

I think the former option seems more likely. I have no idea why video releases are always Tuesdays, but I know it's followed pretty closely.

doesn't matter when they release the original trilogy DVD's, they'll still look washed out.

They don't always release them on Tuesday, I remember seeing a couple films coming out on Thursday and Friday (have no clue why maybe it was a holiday or something) but I admit it is rare so have no idea if those dates are legit. You think Lucas is trying to get the jump on the FOTR delux DVD that comes out in October as well? Actually I be surprised if it comes out in October I think it will probably be March before we get them.

I'm not really putting any stock into those rumors. I mean, heck, the movie isn't even out yet.
