the comic from "Star Wars Tales" about the Jedi 'Droid? It's really hillarious! It describes how an R5 unit (the one that Owen was originally going to buy in ANH) has midichlorians in it's oil and thus can use the Force. Basically, at the end, it used Force Persuasion to make Owen want to buy it. But then, it had a vision of the future, telling it that if R2D2 didn't get to Ben Kenobi, it could be disastrous. So it committed suicide and gave Luke the idea to buy R2 and "save the pretty lady with cinnamon buns on her head". :lol

Skippy The Jedi Droid is one of the best SW comics I've ever read. It's just hilarious. Yet another reason SW Tales is one of the best SW comics out there. No worries about continuity or time lines, just good stories.

The writers of Star Wares tales are under NO obligation to conform to EU continuity. NONE WHATSOEVER. That's the whole point of the series. If a hack at Lucasbook sees something they like and wants to use it then that's there perogative. And what the heck is "continuality?" ;)
