Hrmmmm, I guess enabling attachments as inline images wasn’t such a hot idea, as it appears to have spurned the wanton abuse of our database with new images.

Optimizes the Database and prays its still not too big to backup and download.

I’m half kidding and half serious about the abuse thing. Attachments are okay and are still acceptable, but I’d rather not bloat our database with too many of them, as it is fact that our DB is quickly growing to a size where I am running out of room on the host to perform regular backups.

I was hoping to stretch this a little longer….maybe until our year is up with our current host and we are able to switch over to another, which I think I can pull off, if I don’t bother trying to gzip the backup before I download it. [/paranoid techno-babble]

Eh, there is a limit on the size attachments can be, kind of like there is for Avatars (50KB for attachments). Its not going to crash it to have them there, but having it become a trend for lots of people to post attachments with great frequency is something we probably don't need to start. :)

Personally, I rather enjoy having an absentee father and mother. Frees me up to do what I want to do in my spare time. I have a pretty full schedule as it is. Meals every four hours. Diaper changings after meals. Then, the all important nap after diaper changings.

I don't deny that my daughters life was brought into this world out of love. What I do deny that love is exclusive to your "light" side. Love is more complex then the force itself and can not be classified as easilly as you would like it to be. There can be many loves in a persons life, love of money, love of power, love of prestige, and love of a child. What greater manifestation of power is there then the power to create a child? So to deny myself a child and the love for my child would be to deny myself power which goes against all of my sith ideals.

I have never denied myself love just as I have never denied myself power. To deny ones self is to be weak but to embrace all that the force has to offer is to have true power and strength!

I know what my heart desires and I have it! The only one who can take it away is me and to follow any other course would be to go against my heart and truly be weak.

To go back to OOC for a moment: The way the Sith are depicted in the movies and books, I believe they are incapable of love. Can you picture Maul loving anyone? How about Palpatine? Vader realized that he still loved his son, and that was his redemption.

Yes, I'm sure villans in other forms of literature and movies are capable of loving. It's a great angle when one is trying to create a "gray" character - That is, someone is neither good nor evil. But I think the entire point of SW is that it's rather Black and White about things. It's a story of Good vs Evil, in the Classic sense.

thats true sw as far as the movies and such go is very black and white. But this is the boards and we're allowed creative liberty and this is what I would call evolution of evil....things change to fit needs and as RPers we do things differently then say we would if we were making a movie or writing a book.
