Because of it's 3 nominations, I saw this "small" film today. I am very happy I did so. The performances were excellent(I can see why they were all nominated). The film is one of the sweetest...yet sad portraits of a descent into Alzhemeirs(sp?) I've seen.
Broadbent was the standout(though Dench, and Winslett were terrific) and he's definitely got my vote as Best Supporting Actor(well out of the 4 nominee's I've seen..have yet to see Voight)..though I must say I think he could easily have been put into the lead category, as his role might be the MOST important to the film.
Anyways, a really good film...much better than I expected to be honest.
