SWFans link banner - any plans to make one?

CC.Net is updating it's links page and Qui has offered to link to SWFans. He asked if we have a banner to link with:

I think that would be a good idea but I wouldn't know how to make one, but I am sure there is some creative soul here, JMK is great with sigs maybe he would like to give it a try. Not to push it on you but if you are interested go for it.

I had asked for people to make some banner and button style link images once a while back, so I could see about creating a "Link to Us" page for the portal with said images and the code to use, but it sort of slipped by the wayside. I'd still like to see it done and think it might be worth seeing if we can get the posters involved to. Have like some kind of contest to win a Custom Title or something (not sure what else we could offer) maybe?

That looks cool, I think that would work, unless somebody else has another one to compare it to and then I guess we would have to vote on it.

I don't recall the standard banner or button sizes right off the top of my head, but that looks somewhere inbetween the two.

(I personally prefer the name since SWFans.Net is now gone, but we're still calling ourselves SWFans.Net Forums)

I don't think there is a time table JMK, if you want to make one that would be great we would have something to compare Shawn's with, we might need to go with SWfans.net forum maybe I don't but we are still called that so it would probably be best.

I don't recall the standard banner or button sizes right off the top of my head, but that looks somewhere inbetween the two.It also shrinks very easily. I use a smaller version of that as my sig at the vB forums:

Dave: Well, putting it at SWForums.net saved me the trouble of putting the name and url on there. I suppose it could be redone (if I can find the original PSD file for it).

It looks fairly cluttered, and would be difficult to properly shrink.

I'm not bothered by it - just that the title on the banner implies the name of the site as SWForums.Net.

I prefer the name myself (SWFans.Net Forums still ties us to the now non-existant SWFans.Net homepage) but I just raised it due to the little clash there. :)

:: shrugs :: I don't really have a preferance. For all I care, we can go by both names, and each would instantly be associated with us. Like I said: I just did it for simplicity's sake.

It wouldn't matter much in the end probably - a number of posters have already begun to call us SWForums.Net - probably because of the simplicity in having the URL in the name. :)
