My internet explorer keeps refusing to update information. Example: I post a reply in a thread at EZBoard. It's a fairly active board, so I know it should have a reply after 6 hours. It doesn't, but when I check it to see if it does becuase of this problem, it has about five replies. Same with topics in here. And Utopia is hell right now for me, trying to manage my provience when all my numbers are different. Any causes to this problem and any possible solutions?

Click Tools/ Internet Options / Connections. For the connection you use, click Settings. Do you have anyhting in the Proxy Server option boxes?

:\

Don't really know. Have you tried a Super Refresh (Ctrk+Shift+Refresh)?

Anytime the board doesn't seem to update properly I do that and it fixes it usually.

EDIT: Listen to Marcus.

Can’t say I have ever had that problem. I think actively using the “Mark Forum Read” feature helps maybe.

But yeah, a hard refresh might work.

I did what Marcus said, and didn't see any connections listed in the box. But then I remember I am part of a LAN and checked those settings and nothing was there. And I'll try the super refresh in a second.

What version of IE do you have?

I'm pretty sure its 4.0. Where would I confirm that?

Don't forget the security patch for IE6 after you get it. Also, I'd suggest using the Mark Forum Read feature, like SWFans suggested. It forces your browser to update the page.

I figured out the problem. It won't refresh on its own. If there is a way to make it fix itself automatically instead of having to do it manually that be nice.

Ver: 6.0
