View Full Version : Sheep

In order to discourage teenage boys from having intercourse with their sheep, Welsh farmers are intentionally giving their flocks herpes and announcing it publicly. Scientists say the disease has no effect on wool or meat. It was not reported how the farmers went about infecting their sheep.http://www.maximonline.com/

Lamb Kabobs are now officially out of the question.

Just for my info, they aren't letting any welshmen near cows or chickens or bakeries, are they?

O_o

That's just disturbing.

On another note, and yet still pertaining to somehow fall under the catagory of sheep: it was kinda funny you should mention sheep and post about it with your Shawn name. You see, in this claymation cartoon thingy, the main characters are Wallace and Gromit, and in one of their episodes called "A Close Shave", they save a sheep named Shaun from certain doom. They named it Shaun because it had all it's wool shorn off and turned into a sweater which it now wears ( http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Academy/1267/s54.jpg ). He also wears a little bandaid on his rump where the sheers cut a wee bit too close ( http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Academy/1267/s55.jpg ).

I love the buggy eye look. :lol

Something to keep in mind Rama as per the SWFans FAQ:
Avoid posting offensive remarks involving things like another poster's age, race, gender, or sexual preferance, as well as lewd remarks. These kind of remarks are not appreciated. Swearing is also not appreciated and is seriously looked down upon.

Something to keep in mind, Ogre, generally, good leaders lead by example. Perhaps talk to your staff about following the rules before you talk to us?

Shawn
Mar 2nd, 2002, 01:29:34 AM
Hmm? Have we been insultive to anyone?

Anyway... I'd prefer if a thread about, erm, uncouth actions involving sheep didn't evolve into something else entirely. :)

And, as far as I know, this story was true. There was a couple of other strange ones printed with it, but I thought this one took the cake.

Rama
Mar 2nd, 2002, 01:50:26 AM
Well the word was edited....by me. I did not post the curse word, but mearly these symbols that you see. But others have gotten away with far more, I figured a small bending of the rules for the sake of comdey would be permited, but I guess some can get away with it......while other have to mind their P&Qs. Im sorry, and i'll know my place better next time.

If you mean my comment about my account......I clearly said it didn't have anything to do with SWFANS and was just talking about something that this thread brought to mind. I was mearly makeing converstation, and merely said the person that threw the fit was being rather anal about it, but that it really didn't have anything to do with the fine people here at this board. I was unaware makeing conversation treaded so close to the line.....and again I am sorry.

No, but I would consider adolescent boys having sex with sheep and getting herpes slightly lewd, wouldn't you? This is inappropriate, and, quite frankly, if it was anyone but you, Nup, one of the mods would be all over it.

Rama

This is inappropriate, and, quite frankly, if it was anyone but you, Nup, one of the mods would be all over it. If you notice, I go to great lengths to phrase everything I say as politely as possible, given the subject matter. I even went so far as to change the wording of the original article so that it was far less vulgar than it's original form.

Was it lewd? Yes, slightly. But I think that everyone here is mature enough to handle it. There is a good deal of difference between 'lewd' and 'vulgar'. And I hardly think that this was vulgar, by any stretch of the imagination.

Had someone else posted it, I certainly wouldn't have edited/deleted their post, but would have probably gotten a good chuckle out of it, as was intended. In fact, I'm rather indignant that you'd presume to tell us what we would or would not do.

If you, personally, found this somehow offensive, then please say so. But the other 14+ people who have posted so far all seemed to have found it humorous. Personally, I didn't have a whole lot of problem with Rama's original post. But, to use him for an example, there is a significant difference between saying "teenage boys [...] having intercourse with their sheep" and saying "dirty sheep *&%$er".

Ogre was not warning Rama, nor was he threatening anyone: He was simply posting a reminder. If you'll notice, the staff has been posting many such reminders lately (notably, here (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=12258) and here (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=12287)). Rama was not being singled out in any way.

Quite frankly, I get the impression that you're harboring some personal grudge against either myself, or the staff as a whole. As such, I find it very difficult to take any such complaints to heart.

Oh come now! Have a humor now. There's no need to get all bent out of shape, because I know everyone here is mature enough to handle this. I don't see a bunch of six year old's at heart giggling and pointing at this like they found their father's stash of naughty magazines. We're all intelligent enough to handle it. :D The only immature thing I have seen thus far is those that are complaining about it. It's not meant to be offensive, just something for a good laugh and that's what I got, a good laugh, which I needed. I bet everyone else needed one as well. So shush and chuckle it up!! :p
