Depends on what you like - what music do you like? Then I'll make some road trip music recommendations for the appropriate genres.

For a roadtrip, you can't go wrong with "The Very Best of Lynryd Skynyrd", with songs on it like Down South Dukin, Gimme 3 Steps and Sweet Home Alabama - they're great songs for driving, especially Sweet Home Alabama!

Reap : Yah i know it is. I just like the spelling better, cause I'm odd like that

As for songs...recommend anything, I'll be using DSL to download them, so no skin off my back if I don't like them

HOLY CRAP...you sooo don't strike me as a Skynyrd man, Gav!!!

Have you heard "The four walls of Rayford" or "Mr. Banker"?

SKynard is good, but I'm more of a Neil Young fan ;)

I think the mix up is because you and garrett have the same personal pic.

Or maybe because those two cant even use their own names on occasions :)

Queen are amazing. Plenty of quality Queen tunes suitable for a road trip.

Also, I'm obsessed with Alanis Morrisette - Jagged Little Pill is one of my favourite albums ever, you really can't go wrong with Alanis.

On top of that, all I can say is:

Guns N Roses! Guns N Roses!!! Guns N Roses!!!!!

Get the message? :)

That'll be the reason indeed.

If you can find them(Doubt you'll find them in shops over there), Feeder and Ash are class. Them and U2 would make a journey worth making :)

Garrett, you MUST check out Skynyrd's blues stuff...

A sample of Mr. Banker

Mister Banker
Mister please
How much does money mean?
Won't you reconsider mister?
Won't you do this thing for me?

I ain't got no house.
I ain't got no car.
All I got, Lord, is my guitar.
But you can have that, Mister Banker.
Won't you bury my papa for me.

I would not be here
On my knees
But hey Mister Banker
It means so much to me
Won't you take it, Mister Banker
Won't you bury my papa for me!

I told ya mister

Sir, I ain't got no house,
I ain't got no car.
I got me a nineteen-fifty Les Paul guitar!
But you can take it, Mister Banker,
Just please bury my papa for me.

I've too many cd's to list or mix tapes .Most are pretty wide spread music genre wise. Then again, a lot are punky too.

Reap: Ash is pretty sweet, i've got a few of their songs on the ole 'puter...got some kung fu, and some jack names the planets..good tunes

ok here a question for people that know any Floyd. There's this song where the chorus sounds an awful lot like "Welcome to the machine...."

Anyone know the name of that song? I'm hooked on it big time. I'm only now finding out the wonder of Floyd.

Those sound really good mind you DT, i'd still rather have some music going in the background, makes things a little more interesting, plus well i like to sing
