:p I am a parent, but my children are still but wee young-uns, and Grandma sees to it that they are quite spoiled. :p

My son is only 4 and already has his own VCR in his room. O_o So I think they are covered for now and on the right track, and thats not mentioning the PC that he already has too.....oh yeah I just mentioned it. :p

There may have been a reason for the cuts :)

I think that they will just be scene extensions and the like. Maybe they will give Gimli and Boromir more fight time as opposed to the Aragon and Legloas show :)

I hope that happens. I hated that part of the film. May be in the book or not, but it just felt bolted on.

The extra scenes will probably be worth the DVD, i think they didnt get enough of legolas's humor into the movie. In some ways, the books way better than the movie.

Well, I'm of the opinion that PJ wasn't trying to make the movie better than the book. It just can't be done. Instead, he strove to make an excellent film that, in his own words, is just an interpretation of the book.
