New Signature

In everything I write or Roleplay, I like to tell a story, or expand on one. I've always wanted to do something the same with my sig, as I believe it helps set a character up. What I tried to do in my own way is tell a story with my sig.

I hope it worked

Actually, the levels on the original psd are darker and better balanced. It's the conversion to jpg that makes them go wacky and that I'm still working out.

We like to keep it around 30K with sig and avatar but being somewhat over is alright.

I always edit when things get close to 40K

Presently the limit is 30kb for avatar + signature combined.

Though I do admit I'm looking to have the rule revised to involve sigs only since vB already has an avatar limitation in place that we utilise (15kb, 150x150 max dimensions).

Avatar + sig = 30kb or less (it doesn't matter what proportion they're in, so long as their combined filesizes don't exceed that level).

Yeah, I think we should up the sig length a little bit. I mean, if the people don't want to see sigs, they don't have to. There is that feature.

Increasing the limit by, say, 20% is not going to slow load time that much. Most people don't post with their sigs every post anyway.

Most people do use their signature at least once in a RP thread and by default signatures are enabled to new users and registered users. The figure of 30 KB is plenty adequate and shall remain that way.

One thing I thought I would mention: Of all the vBulletin boards I have visted that are run by other people for other things including role playing, this one is the only one I have seen that even allows images to be used in signatures, all the others have been text based only.
