Hmm... I'm pretty happy with this Duron 800@880 for now, but I can't wait till my 1Ghz Duron comes in. I'll be aiming for 1300! =D

If it has SDRAM, and Dave has DDR, its no contest for the Athlon to stomp the P4 into the dirt.

If you've got RDRAM, the P4 is faster.

speaking of RAM, I bought a stick of 256 SDRAM for my 1.5 year old computer. I am a nearly-broke college guy, and somewhat of a pragmatist. So if I can upgrade enough for it to run smoothly with no worries, I am happy.
