What's causing those problems anyway? Is it that we're taking up too much space on the server because we never delete any threads? I find it hard to believe its because of the excessive traffic.

It's not a server issue of any kind, and not exactly a host problem either. As Darth23 said, Trouz can supply any details you might be curious about, either through email or on the backup board. What I can tell you is that QuiGonJ had told me CCnet should be back up pretty soon. I actually thought it might be back up by now, but I'm still getting the DNS error page. :\

I think the main page is back (with a new IP, maybe) but all the links are still pointing to the old location (links without the new ip addy specified).

I'm probably completely butchering the explaination. :p

It appears to load in Opera, but not in Internet Explorer for some reason, which explains why I have been able to load and post topics with no problems. I think my browser remembers the IP address.

Hi, yep, it was a DNS issue, but had do to with Hotrage, not CCnet itself. Since the host company links CCnet through Hotrage, boom, instant Hotrage downage.

Anyway, everyone back into the pool! if you want to. :)

And we are looking at new hosts, and apparently, possibly even a board software upgrade soon.
