Found this over on theforce.net While I've heard this argument go back and forth - first they're doing it, then they're not doing it - it looks like Indiana Jones 4 might finally be a reality. They apparently have a script and a title (although they are not releasing it yet).
I hope it happens - its been a while since we've had an Indiana Jones film, and I think it would be nice to have one last hurrah with everyone's favorite archeologist. The only think I'm not wild about is that apparently Kate Capshaw will be in this one - I didn't think she was all that great in Temple of Doom (just my personal opinion), but no matter - the movies are supposed to be fun and I'm looking forward to a fourth installment.

This will be the episdoe when Indy's cute little blonde haired nephew Oscar comes to visit him and they have many wondeful adventures. ;)

I don't really want to see an Indy 4 or a T-3. (or an Alienseseses 5 or a Ghostbsters 3.....)

I wouldn't mind seeing Indy 4 for the simple reason that they've ALL been good. In fact, having Connery in Indy 3 actually prduced a better movie than the previous one. Raiders is still my favorite, but Last Crusade was great. I expect that a 4th installment will work as well. Let the old man jokes begin!!:D

Indiana Jones and the Colonoscopy
Indiana Jones and the Last Walker
Indiana Jones and the Search for Metamusil
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Aged
Indiana Jones and the Legend of Geritol
Indiana Jones and his Lost Teeth
Indiana Jones: Where The Hell Am I?
Indiana Jones: Who Are You?
Indiana Jones: The Children Never Call
Indiana Jones: Who Am I and Where Are My Pants?!

Im glad, but I have two problems:

-10 years on = no Nazis

-Kate Capshaw. I preferred the original Indy Girl :)

How about "Viagra Jones - Back in the Saddle"?

I hated Temple of Doom. That movie was when I started to sour of some of Speilberg's gimmickey gags and tricks. JP 1 pushed me over the edge.

There's a difference between scary and gross. Gross is easy - scary or startling takes more work.

Plus, Miriam was way better than Kate.

Even the opening sequence in the club just went on WAY too long.

But I really did believe that you could jump out of an airplane and survive. ;)

Karen Allen is just a great actress. She was much better than Kate, but I don't think she'd be interested in the part. Plus, Capshaw is younger and probably still looks good enough to please the eyes.

JMK, that Viagra line is priceless. :lol

LONG LIVE KAREN ALLEN!!!

By far the best Indie gal... ever... Miriam was just plain fun!!!

I got tired of Kate screaming every 5 seconds. That's all that woman did... scream, complain... scream, complain... scream... scream... faint... scream, complain, scream... :|

If there's another I'm there. Just cause I got a kick out of the last one. :)

Although I'm with Darth on all the other's he mentioned... the thought of those leaves a coppery taste in my mouth... :\

Wasn't it Marion? Not Miriam?

And yes - whatever her name was, Karen Allen was the best Indy gal in my book.

Marion, Miriam, who cares. The woman carried Jeff Bridges' starchild. She must be paid the proper respect.:cool

What about bringing in Short Round, or whatever his name was, from Temple (little asian kid/sidekick)?

Harrison Ford is still damn sexy for whatever age he is.

Capshaw - she is better looking now than she was back in Temple. Although having a repeat Indy girl would be like having a repeat Bond girl... can't do it. It's just wrong.

I always found Capshaw a bit ugly myself

One slight problem with Short Round. He is near 30. Still, he'll get work from the Goonies sequel(He's Data) :)

Lucas hasn't agreed to anything so far. I heard they have a title, but I think the script being up is just a rumor.

I agree, Marian was the best Indy girl of the three, by far. If there was going to be a return appearance of any of the female co-stars, I really wish it would be her...can't help but think that maybe Kate Capshaw is getting a return engagement because she's Mrs. Steven Spielberg.

Oh, and Jedieb, "Indiana Jones: Where the Hell Am I?" gets my vote! :lol Heaven only knows, we're going to get our share of these jokes, just like the Star Trek movies have been getting over the years! :lol

"Indiana Jones: The Children Never Call" and "Indiana Jones and the Search for Metamusil" are both hilarious!:) Oh how good those would be

I don't know about Capshaw she wasn't the best Indy Gal, My problem with Temple of Doom, was that it was a very dark and creepy film, gory too, I can still remember the dinner scene, Monkey Brains' anyone:lol I am not sure if they could do another one really and it may fall through. If Lucas does not want to do it it will never happen. Actually at this point I will be surprised if is made.

Well if it is the first thing on Lucas' plate when he is done with Star Wars... that puts it's release in 5 to 6 years... minimum. So add a few years on the old jokes.

Course - what of they started a new trilogy with Sean Patrick Flanery? (I know, sacriledge!)

I'd rather they make the Star Wars sequels than Indy 4. Something tells me the 4th one will ruin what's already there. And the Yuuzhan Vong - what a villian. Think of what they could do with them!

Flannery is cool, but he's no Indy :)

I don't trust them to choose another Indy. I mean, they got Ben Affleck to replace him as Jack Ryan so I'm not gonna take any chances... I'd rather the series just end than get a guy I don't want to play him.

JMK

Affleck was right at the Golden Globes, no one can replace Harrison Ford.

I have two gripes aside from Capshaw:

-Marcus is no longer with us

-When they called it the Last Crusade, I saw it as also meaning the LAST movie.

Jedi Master Carr

Well it still might not happen, especially if Lucas does not want to be a part of it. If Lucas says no it will never happen.

Well the Last Crusade also means that its subject matter was the crusades, the search with Indy being the last... as they destroyed its resting place. The LAST search for the Holy Grail.

You can't keep going with some movies. I mean look what happened to the Rocky films. I don't think they should make another one. People are so critical these days - it would piss me off too.

Stallone is actually considering a Rocky VI. He's even had some discussions with George Foreman. So I'd imagine it would be a middle aged Rocky trying to win back the title the same way Foreman did. If this happens I'm personally defacing every George Foreman grill I can find! Curse you Foreman! Curse you and your 5 sons named George!!!!!!:shootin

I read a newspaper report just yesterday saying that whilst Stallone was considering making another Rocky and/or Rambo, it probably won't be happening. Even Stallone himself admits he's getting a bit old for the roles.

He'll fight Foreman for the right to be the Oscar Meyer weiner guy!

There was a time when Arnold and Stallone were the biggest action stars in Hollywood. People use to wonder if we'd ever see them team up. Now that they're both a bit longer in the tooth and not the hottest tickets at the gate, I wonder if we'd ever see them team up?
