I need some infomation on Cortoris material

What is it? What kind of material is it? (Like metal, rock, etc) How does it shut lightsabers down? Is it very strong? And can it be crafted into objects?

Cortoris is very brittle ... there is just something about the material that causes the crystals in the sabre to not work because of a backlash I think. Kinda like a short circuit

Not sure on the specifics or if I am totally right.

Cortoris is a fibreous earth, I guess a lot like asbestos in composition. It is brittle and not strong at all. It can be woven (I think) or alloyed, although the alloy would be useless for most things, too weak.

It works on a sabre by breaking down the magnetics and field effects that create the blade. The blade will cut the ore for a bit, but then shut down as a fail safe.
