Well, the name requires an Enigma coding device to work out, but as a hint, its ReaperFett :)

I'll PM it, my e-mail is as reliable as the Millenium Falcon :)

Wait, wait, wait a second! The Millenium Falcon always escapes the bad guys and survives the fight!

I'd say its the most reliable starship in Star Wars, even with a faulty Hyperdrive. :crack :rollin

My computer looks like the Millenium Falcon... pieced together hunk of junk... but it's FAST. :)

If my computer finds I have anything open, at all, it locks up and dies. Then takes 20 minutes to start up again. I hate Winblows.

This could be because most of you really don't know what you are doing. I'm not trying to be insulting, but even windows 98 can pretend to be a reliable operating system if you tweak it right. It takes a lot of work and knowledge.

I could get 98 to one week before its horrid memory management ground me to a halt, and I slam a system by playing games. Gamers push PCs harder than just about anyone else. (cept for disk IO)

And you guys are making gross generalizations. Windows 2k and Windows XP are excellent operating systems.

Win2k and XP give me 3 week uptimes (when I'm not trying different drivers for my video card or toying with other settings).

I'd give most of you a hand with it, but its one of those things where I have to be there to do it.

I haven't had any lock ups with Windows XP, and I've had the OS since Mid November.

I think we should do something when that doesn't happen..I mean the topic always changes so I say when the subject doesn't change we should have a holiday.

:: Finally reboots a Windows NT system that been in continuous operation for over 6 months::

Moral of the story.... We never post on topic and never think Windows 98 is a real OS. Always use an NT derived one. Morgan is right, NT based systems can be remarkably good. Bout time the average Joe had access to the fineries of the NT Kernel.

jesus christ! You'd think its power supply would have created an inversion in the spatial field or something else wierd. 6 months? I wonder how long my dual-fan Enermax PS-352 would last :lol

What I'm really curious to see is how many times I reboot XP when I put actual sufficient memory inside it :). I've been running it on a sub-par 128 SD, and even then, I reboot only once a week...due to memory conflicts from waay too much multitasking (sometimes the sound goes out). So with my new stick of RAM, I think I can extend that into 4 months of uptime.
