Description: Since the recent arrival of the Mon Calamari MC-200 Super Star Cruiser "Defender", research began on another warship. Made to be the peak of war frigate design, as the "Defender" was to star cruisers.
In all, the new ship is forty percent more massive than the original Nebulon-B design, to which it owes its general shape. More organic in shape than past Nebulon frigate designs, it shows the part the Mon Calamari played in this joint project indefinitely. It maintains the basic and classic shape of a more prominent forward hull, that juts out downward further than the rear. It's sleek design is almost completely edge free, allowing for a think coating of the same synthetic material used to create the W-wing Stealth Fighter. Sporting new Mon Calamari XW48C emissionless engines, the frigate is completely blind to enemy sensors.
Taking a lesson from the success of the Imperator III Star Destroyer design, the frigate relies on new computerized systems, allowing for a smaller crew and more space for cargo, ships, weapons, and fourteen full troop regiments.
Also complimenting the frigate is a new mid-section, almost three times in width and a considerable distance longer, with comfortable space for a very competent weapons system. Near the front of the frigate stretches the new hangar bay, which extends partially into the front portion of the neck, accomodating four squadrons of starfighters and sixteen light transports.
