Do we happen to have an agreed upon set of stats for these massive weapons of war?

Nope...because not even canon and EU gurus can agree on it

I don't see why say you that. The controversy appears to be over. Uncle George says it's 12.8km, the fleet rules (which reflect starwars.com) indicate that SSD's are 12.8km long.

http://members.home.net/wlabiche/gma/rules.html

An excerpt from the fleet rules:

All SSDs are 12.8km.

Of course, that's just the length issue.

I believe he was referring to things such as weapons, troops, etc. :|

I had thought that we were just using Mk I, II, and III SSD's to determine length. Mark III being the longest at 17.5 km.

Forget parking space, you could smooth out the Rockies just by setting the Erebus down in Colorado Springs.

To that effect, I think I've discovered a new method of terraforming.

Since Var's had his question answered, and I don't want to flood this place with another ship question thread :| By chance anyone have stats on the MC40a?

Those stats look decent.

I agree there Viscera, and personally think they're more reasonable than those that Galacticempire.org has.

There is more then one class of Super Star destroyer, correct? Like, the (K)night Hammer was a different type, If I'm not mistaken.

I remember Warlord Zsinj's Iron Fist to be a 8 kilometer warship. I also think the short-lived Razor Kiss was about the same.

I personally believe we should stick with 12.8 km, seeing as how it's the Executor's stats. It's more canonical then the other SSD sizes, and it falls somewhere in between 17 km and 8 km (well, sort of).

:)

Alright, then we both concur on that set of statistics as a possibility for Swfans.net-certified SSDs? That's a step in the right direction.

A miracle in fleet discussions, is it not? :lol

The clouds outside my window are turning red.

Now you've done it!

Funny you should say that, Morgan, there's a thunderstorm outside and I heard (about 3 seconds after I saw) a bolt of lightning right after I read your post.

And I'm not kidding. I live in Maryland. Today it's rainy here.

Really tho gonna pour any second here.

These stats sound good. one question, though. could we stick to having twelve squadrons of fighters on the SSD I, 14 on the SSD II, and 16 on the SSD III, as this would be a logical progression. After all, TIEs are kept stored on racks overhead of a landing bay. That's a lot of room. We're looking at over 144 fighters for one SSD alone!

I think that 240 TIE Series fighters is a conservative enough estimate.

Varlon Konrad

Agreed, Viscera. For the second time in this thread @_o THE APOCALYPSE IS COMING! REPENT! REPENNNNNT!

Darth Viscera

O_o
Do you wish me to repent in the transitive sense, or in the intransitive sense?

Darth Turbogeek
Jan 7th, 2002, 06:07:00 PM
Start making sense and your repentance will be accepted in eith past, present or future tense

it SHOULDNT be the 8km SSD, WEG made a boo boo. However, it got known, so they couldnt change it :)

I personally see then the Executor as 17.6, and the others to be as big as they could make them. Making one is expensive, I doubt they'd refuse to make one 14KM instead :)

Telan Desaria

I just wanted to hammer a few things out, since I have an SSDIII as my flagship.

There are 240 TIEs, 20 squadrons, as fighter support on the Mark III Super-class Star Destroyer

also, what's the deal on these Apocalypse-class SSD that the Sith Empire has been concocting? How many are there? How big are they? How many fighters? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?

Pulls hair out...:->

Telan, go read "Operation Apocalypse: The Building of Monsters" for whatever information that is (currently) known to the public. You can guestimate all you want by what you can pluck off that thread.
