Well I'm back a day earlier than anticipated. Didn't get to ski :(, but I did get to ice skate, which is kinda hard and stuff. Our chalet was literally at the peak of the smokies...above the alpine slopes, gondolas, town, etc. It was 4 miles from the chalet to town, straight down the mountainside. We could see everything from our deck...alpine slopes, gondolas, the town, all the other mountains, etc. When the town shot new years fireworks...they went off below us, so we watched them all in the valley below. It was beautiful.

As I've never even SEEN snow, I'll take your word for it skiing is good. I personally prefer the version where your dragged by some boat with a hulking and loud V8 at the end of a piece of rope with a piece of wood on your feet. And there's a damn good river near me which is perfect for water-skiing.

I've done a fair bit of water skiing. Its fun, but alpine skiing looks much cooler :) in more ways than one.

BTW...everybody should go to the smokies. Its the best place ever :)

I've never water skiied, as I live in a DESERT, but I've ice skated, which is fun. I'm gonna go snowboarding when I can annoy my mom enough to take me...

But seriously, you should try it sometime. Come out to CA next winter and I'll take ya skiing. You should be fine... IF you avoid the snow boarders. :lol

I rule when it comes to skiing! Just keep me away from any slopes other than those that have "bunny" in the name (afraid of heights). And make sure I get those two scimitars that you use for balance! I love those things! You can wack snowboarders with them!
