From People.com

Ewan McGregor is being lined up to appear in the third Harry Potter film, The Prisoner of Azkaban, PeopleNews can reveal. The sometimes hirsute Scottish actor has been approached by the movie's makers to take the role of Remus Lupin, a misunderstood wizard with werewolf tendencies. Less pulse-quickening casting news is that Robson Green has is also being courted to play Sirius Black, the boyish wizard's mysterious godfather. Daniel Radcliffe will reprise his role as Harry Potter in the movie.

Last I heard, Christian Bale was being considered for the role.

I don't think McGregor would want to be in another high profile film so quick.

I think it depends entirely on the amount of blue screen they use! :lol

lol

I wouldn't be surprised if Ewan took it. He's got children who are old enough and young enough to appreciate Harry Potter, so he has probably been influenced by the saga as much as anyone else.

My favorite HP character is Sirius Black, so I hope they casted him well.

Interesting... I haven't read that one yet, but it is one my queue of books to read. Now when I read it, I will have Ewan in mind...

I think Ewan would be good for Lupin.
