Countdown Clock

I was curious if anybody thinks we should add a clockdown clock to the News portal? Maybe not yet but as we get closer to the film, I was thinking this because I though SWfans.net had one.

Hmmm, That will require some investigation, thats for sure. dunno if I could use a block (the little boxes on the side) or just insert it into the header, need a bit of software that does the countdown too.

The recent SW Insider explains how to do if you are interested, I think it would be cool to do though somebody might want to make certain they put the correct number up because we have been having trouble with that in the Long Countdown:D

I found a little javascript file that will do it. It was a little old, seeing it had a release date of May 20th written into it, but I made the 15th change to it and implemented it on the mainpage. I'll need to do a little CSS work to make it a little more prominent on the page. :)

Cool but is it 161? Just curious I know it is around that time but if you put in the 15th I am sure its right.

I tried to look up some other counters on the web and found most read 166, which makes me think they are still running with a date of the 20th.

Ok I was just wondering on the Long Countdown thread Darth Mcbain wasn't sure himself I guess we were off on the countdown by a couple of days I think I found the date from a countdown site and used that a while back that is probably why were off at least we are back on track:cool
