View Full Version : Alone in the night (open challenge to a Jedi)
Lord DarkStar

DarkStar sat cross legged on the desert, a vicious wind kept changing direction, blowing at him from all directions, making his cloak flap noisily yet he seemed undisturbed by it. His eye lids flickered slightly as he passed a painful memory in his meditations. Eventually his meditations brought him to the way of the sword, as if in respone the wind began to howl more ferociously. DarkStar began to pull his power into him, feeding it to every fibre of his being, making him stronger, faster and more dangerous. The desert wind began to spin around him now, a wailing tornado. DarkStar didn't seem to notice as he stood slowly. A wind rushed past him, sweeping the dust from his cloths. The sun beat down, terrible and unforgiving but he didn't notice it or pay it any mind other than to squint slightly as he looked towards it. The light gave his armour a black shine that was in its self dazaling. Rasing Widowmaker he ignited it with a snap, instandly the wind was gone, the only sound in the desert was the hum of his sabre as he waited for the pressence he felt coming towards him. He had sent out a call in the hope a Jedi would answer it, the distress call of an "injured" Sith would hopefully be too much of a temtation to ignore, if it was he would just try again somewhere else eventually a Jedi would answer and then they would die and their sabre would be another gift for TSE, so he waited.

The Jedi Padawan sensed something was wrong as she glided over the barren terrain in her landspeeder. Darsha was on a mission, her final trial, upon completion the honorary rank of Knight would be bestowed upon her. Turning off the engines and repulsor lifts, she sighted a lone man in the horizon. His ship ws parked nearby. She felt a coldness from this stranger. Darkness emanated off him like the force signature of a Sith. She hesitated to dismount her vehicle and offer assistance, but she remembered the Jedi code, to respect all life. Perhaps this Sith was injured. She called out.
"You there...Are you injured?"

The man looked at her and she felt a coldness, like fear sweep over her, Jedi felt no fear she reminded herself, the coldness remained it was somehow other-worldly. DarkStar moved towards her, sabre glowing crimson. He stopped a few yards from her and bowed low.
"I am not injured...you however soon will be,"
He raised his sabre as though to attack then stopped and furrowed his brow. He lowered his sabre and studdied her for a moment before speaking.
"You are but a padawan...there is no honour for me in defeating you, yet I sense you are almost a knight...I will give you the choice, fight me or leave it is your decission"
DarkStar stood and awaited her responce

Her hand slid to the hilt at her belt as he raised his saber, but as he spoke to her she relaxed her grip.
"I did not come here looking for a fight. I sensed a call for help through the force. I see now it was only a trap to engage a Jedi. I shall be on my way."
Darsha turned on a heel as she walked from the Sith to her speeder. She wasnt sure why he decided against attacking her, but wasnt going to wait engaging in conversation till he changed his mind. She sensed his anger and hatred for her kind, but felt he wanted to prove himself against a Knight or a Master. She got in her speeder and flicked on the controls, activating the lifts, readying her transport to disembark the area.

DarkStar looked at a her a moment and released the power he had been building up, she felt it as a ripple in the Force and a big one at that. He switched off his sabre and belted it he gave a small laugh.
"For a trap to work it must be truely genuine, I crashed my shuttle so anyone scanning would detect a crashed shuttle...I would be grateful of a lift to habitation"
He spread his hands wide
"I mean you no harm of course, I said I would give you the choice to fight or not, i do not go back on my word. It has been a long time since I spoke to a Jedi, I am 'eger' to learn how things are"
The way he said eger sent a shiver down her spine, but she didn't know why. She was about to answer him when he spoke again,
"I do not need to prove myself, I proved myself before you were even born, I do what I do because it is expected of me"
DarkStar dropped his hands and waited to see if she would offer him a lift or not

Shutting down the speeder, Darsha was astonished at the Sith's complaisant manner, contrary to how he portrayed himself previously. She felt no deception from him and was convinced he was a man of honor. He offered her the fascinating opportunity to converse with a Sith Lord on neutral ground. She smiled as she waved him over to the passenger side.
"Sure, I will give you a lift. We can talk on the way."
Darsha cringed thinking how her Master would react to his Padawan accompanied by a Sith. This man was different, his suave demeanor capitvated her.
"My name is Darsha Assant. And you are?"
Lord DarkStar
Dec 5th, 2001, 03:23:44 AM
DarkStar bowed and then stepped up onto the speeder, sitting down in the passenger seat he pressed a button on his com and then smiled.
"I am Lord DarkStar, Sith Master of TSE...some call me Dagger, but that was a long time ago now..."
He trailled off, thinking of memories, then he blinked and looked up at Darsha.
"But tell me a little about yourself my dear, then I will return the favour, you never know"
He smiled
"We may both learn something about our selves and our 'enemies"
Darsha knew by enemies he ment for himself the Jedi, but the way he said it reinforced her belief that he ment her no harm

She restarted the landspeeder, the repulsor coils lifted the transport as it was given throttle. A cloud of dust enveloped the two as they headed for the nearest spaceport.
"Dark Star....Interesting name." Darsha felt compelled to offer this Sith information, but didnt know what drove her motivation.
"I am Padawan to Master Bondara. He is my mentor as well as my provider. He raised me as an orphan. I must say, I never would have imagined sitting next to a Sith, exchanging civil words. In normal cases we would be exchanging saber blows. How bizarre life can be."
The Jedi Padawan observed the desolate landscape as they ventured further on. She turned toward him. There was no denying his dark power. She sensed his ominous roots. She was attune to the light side, so it didnt affect her balance to be close to this darksider.
"If I were a Knight, would you have attacked me?" Darsha felt a cold rush after the question, as she knew he couldnt mask the sinister nature inherent in a Sith.
Lord DarkStar
Dec 5th, 2001, 04:19:16 PM
DarkStar seemed to ignore her question for a moment,
"Bondara...I do not believe I have ever faced him, no i can't have, he is niether dead nor a cripple I assume"
He gave a small laugh, then looked at her for a moment then checked his time piece
"I'm sorry to tell you my dear that if you were a knight you would now be dead"
He let the inplications of this sink in before continued to speak
"I was born nearly 600 years ago on a planet you have never heard of, my kind are...no, were, there aren't many of us left now called the Vampyres of the Force, we have the unusual ability to absorb the medichlorines from other beings by touch, leaving them either slightly weakened...or dead"
Darsha glanced nervously at his hands but relaxed when she saw him pulling the black leather gloves he wore on more firmly.
"I am a wanderer, I have had places to live, TSE is my latest but never yet anywhere I can call home, although perhaps this will be different. I stay for a while in a place, give it all I can and then I move on, one way or another"
Darsha felt the controls be gently taken from her by the Force, at first she was alarmed then realised that the Sith could easily do what he wanted, he could easily kill her, but he obviously had no intention of doing that,
"Look at me..."
He said quietly, she turned and looked him in the eyes, they were cold and green, but burned with a sort of fire,
"Can you look me in the eye and tell me you are happy in the light?"
He asked simply
Darsha Assant
Dec 5th, 2001, 05:37:34 PM
"Of course. I owe my life to my Master and the Jedi Academy. The light is true, free from corruption. It is the purity that life forms flourish and evolve from. There is no greed or ambition for power. I feel killing is a waste and it is against the code unless in self defense or the preservation of another Jedi or innocent."
Darsha started to get nervous with the Sith's answers, but was thrilled at the danger of the situation. Her Master warned her once her eagerness for adventure may lead her to the dark side.
"So, I would be dead if you engaged me? You underestimate my abilities. Would you honor me in a spar before we reach the port? It would be great training for me. I bet you would'nt mind a chance to fight a Jedi again." Darsha grinned in anticipation.
Dark Star lofted a brow, thinking how long it has been since he crossed blades with a Jedi. This young one was but a Padawan, but she may satisfy his thirst for battle. He let loose a malicious grin.

DarkStar studied her for a moment, a true Jedi, not afraid to die. He scanned the area for a moment then the speeder moved towards an open area and set its self down. DarkStar disembarked and motioned for Darsha to do the same. Moving slightly away from her he ignited a single crimson sabre, it cast a strange shadow and its hum was the only sound now the speeders engines were off.
"You avoided my question, but come, answer me as we spar"
He raised his sabre into a defencive stance,
"Attack me, it may be the only chance you get to go on the offence, once I begin you will be beaten with ease"
He smiled and motioned for her to attack

Following him in turn, she hopped out of the speeder he halted himself, 'via the force', motioning over to the area he claimed as the battle ground.
Darsha let herself sink into the force, not trying to maintain any control over it, just allowing it to take over her senses, preparing her for the spar. Unclipping her hilt, she ignited the yellow lance of energy and ventured forward to her opponent. Its thrumming blade seeking out the resistance of another.
"Yes, I am happy in the light. Why, is it your ambition to change my allegiance?"
Saying that, she took the initiative and bolted to the Sith, elevating her saber from the ground with a double handed grip, attempting to strike his right hip in an upward diagonal sweeping motion meant to mark his entire torso. Darsha maintained a disciplined focus, driving out the escalating excitement enticing her drive.

Dec 7th, 2001, 02:39:08 AM
DarkStar spun left, leaving his sabre in his wake to block the blow,
"Why would it be my ambition? You are already beginning to walk the Dark path on your own, your hunger for battle, your willingness to attack, all DarkSide traits"
DarkStar held her blade in place for a moment then slid his blade left out from under it, coming down quickly from above hammering into it once more, requiring the two handed grip to stop him from forcing the blade lower. He smiled,
"You are not strong enough young padawan"
DarkStar's left hand shot out like a flash of light and Darsha felt a sting in her left cheek,
"Feel the pain, use it, it is the only way you will survive against me"
Again DarkStar's hand shot out and stung her cheek

The young Padawan struggled against his blade as she spoke between labored breaths.
"But this is only a spar. As you recall, I wasnt hungry to engage you by your disabled ship. What harm is it in the enjoyment of a mere spar? Hardly the ingredients to mold me to the darkside.
Dark Star was about to add a cutting retort, when his opponent freed her blade, his face twisted in a defiant sneer as the game continued on.
Bending back, the second sting softened as she stepped back with her left foot, pivoting left from the bind. She then escorted her saber to her left, shifting her right foot back as she side stepped left, rotating right 45 degrees, the yellow beam of light seeking its objective at his lower back with a swinging slice, since his turn shifted his angle at her, leaving his aft side open, dictating a speedy reaction from Dark Star to offset her blade.

Dec 7th, 2001, 09:27:36 AM
DarkStar dropped to the ground, rolling as he did. The yellow blade passed harmlessly over his head, with a pressure in his shoulders he flipped himself back to his feet, on the offencive now. He sabre crashed into hers as she brought it back to centre. Holding her blade steady with his own DarkStar began to spin, as he got most of the way round he wipped his sabre round to follow, the added momentem knocked Darsha back a step.
"True"
He said, he breathing not even laboured yet
"But it is a small step down the road, I never was any good at turning Jedi to the Dark path, but someone else may find you and help you make those small steps into a whole journey"
DarkStar stepped forwards, his sabre turned upside down now to knock her sabre aside, his left hand came out again but this time she heard the familiar snap-hiss of a a light sabre as the lightning claw on his wrist burst into life, sending two miniture lightsabres careering towards her head.

Dropping back in a twisting roll she evaded the energy missiles tracking her. Flipping back up to her feet, she arched a brow.
"Your newest invention?"
Darsha advanced forward, her apical concentration was centered on her opponent. She rushed him, feinting an overhead strike but hastily lowered into a crouching spin to ambush his lower legs, which he flawlessly escaped with a twisting side flip landing a meter away.
Returning the favor, Dark Star pressed ahead, lunging forward with his blade steered to her midchest, a death blow if she did not defend. As she stood up from the crouch, the young Padawan intercepted the blow by stepping back to her left, while elevating her blade in a counterclockwise arc catching his thrusting saber on her weapon's yellow length of plasma, the tip arcing out. Driving forward, still keeping his blade at bay, she pivoted on her left foot and side kicked him in the midsection to push him away.
"This is a spar, is it not?" Darsha couldnt read this man's intendment. He held some kind of mind block preventing her from sensing his purpose.

Dec 8th, 2001, 05:36:44 PM
DarkStar smiled
"A spar it is indeed, but what is the point of a spar if there is no danger"
DarkStar's lightning claw came round in a vicious arc aimed for her head, she ducked, straight into DarkStar's knee which came up into her nose as she wend down. She fell backwards and DarkStar advanced once more, his sabre and lightning claws ready to fend off her blade.
He smiled as a small amount of blood flowed from her nose, he lowered his weapons.
"First blood to me, now i sujest you deal with that before it gets worse"

Dec 9th, 2001, 03:34:04 PM
Twisting and rolling from him she got back up, wiping the blood off her face, controlling her emotions from the cheap shot. Darsha moved about Dark Star, looking for an opening as she offered him a response to his comment.
"Blood, a warrior's interior that can easily be tapped. You have not defeated me yet, Sith Lord."
Planning to repay him the blood debt, she approached him slowly, feinting a horizontal strike with her saber in her left hand, transporting it near his right waist. She then moved in with a right cross to his left jaw, the upper cut taking him by surprise, moving her saber back to her left and away.

DarkStar took a step back and rubbed his chin.
"I do not recall telling you I was a Sith Lord...do you know more about me than you are letting on? Hmm perhaps that is the case, perhaps I will so you the error of holding back"
DarkStar's attack came out of no where, Darsha just managed to get her sabre up intime to block as a medium sized rock took her in the back of the head. She fell forwards into DarkStar's knee, as this time he drove it home into her face again, but carrying on, pushing her backwards till she fell, head first onto the rock he had deposited behind her. He continued his charge, landing behind her head and spinning to face her again before she could even begin to get up

"I know who and what you are. The force is vast in knowledge and feeds my conscious."
Absorbed in the force, she sensed the rock behind her as she twisted, she made contact with the smoothe side, limiting the damage to her head. She spun in a heartbeat, sweeping his legs out from under Dark Star. He responded by guiding his barbed blade towards her throat as he gained his balance, which she offsetted with a swift searing strike. Flipping up, she dashed to his right side charging past his flank, her saber in her left hand held backhanded as it was maneuvered horizontally towards his mid-section.

Dec 11th, 2001, 04:08:40 PM
DarkStar parried with his sabre upside down, the force of the impact and the fact that DarkStar gave no ground brought her to an almost complete stop. DarkStar's other hand caught her by the wrist and twisted it up her back and round, to the point where it would break.
"Drop the sabre"
DarkStar said in a conversational tone,
"I will hurt you too much if we continue to fight with lightsabres...we will continue this unarmed"
Darsha Assant
Dec 12th, 2001, 11:20:34 AM
Startled by his saber's concrete obstruction and her subdued arm raised in an awkwardly painful position, she dropped her saber letting loose a defeative sigh.
"Hand to hand combat may prove far more perilous. But as you wish. I havent had much practice in this area lately. I am up for the challenge. I will hardly pose any sport for you if you succeed in breaking my arm." Darsha nodded to Dark Star as he still held her in place.

Dec 12th, 2001, 04:09:03 PM
DarkStar smiled warmly at her
"But of course my dear"
He let go of her arm, switching off his lightning claw and lightsabre and clipping it to his belt all in one swift move. He took a step back.
"More perilous, but for whome, at least I won't chop your arm off when you fail to block a simple move, and that of course would be disasterous"
DarkStar was still smiling when his fist cannoned into her throat without any warning.
"Lets begin"
He said conversationally as he advanced

Dec 13th, 2001, 02:32:43 PM
Twisting from his strike, he only caught a side of her throat, lessening the imapact. She smiled, surprised..
"Tricky."....."Sith first."
Darsha got into a defensive position, right foot ahead of the other. She pondered briefly how her Master would not allow his Padawan to spar with a Sith, let alone converse with one. He would say they couldnt be trusted and could sway her beliefs. Darsha was young, far too trusting, easy prey if Dark Star were to change his mind and fight her to the death. The Sith readied for an attack, and a chance to defeat a Jedi, soon to savor the taste.

Dec 14th, 2001, 09:50:30 AM
DarkStar scowled at her,
"If you believe you are going to loose then you will"
He began to slowly circle her,
"I am fast and stronger than you...but I'm not invincible, I must have a weakness, you must find it and exploit it, or you will loose, that I assure you my dear will be very painful"
DarkStar smiled and opened his arms in an almost peaseful gesture then his right hand shot out and grabbed Darsha by the throat. Placing his other hand on her lower back DarkStar lifted her in the air and threw her at the floor

A fervent hand grabbed her throat as Darsha gasped, ejecting her to the ground which she followed through with a shoulder roll to absorb the impact. She charged at him from a crouched position grabbing his legs, the momentum pitching them both towards the ground.
"Never underestimate your opponent or over assess your own abilities, my Master once said."
The young Jedi kept a strong hold of him as the Sith Lord dealt with this young Padawan, his face warped into a barbarous smirk at her offensive assault.

DarkStar rolled with Darsha, rapping his legs around her throat and squeezing.
"Then you master is wise, but I already follow that particular piece of advice."
DarkStar applied a vice-like grip with his legs, blocking off her air.
"But I know I am stronger that you, can you even hope to deny it?"
DarkStar squeezed harder
"Your calmness is no help to you now my dear, only hatred and anger can save you from me now. Feel the life being crushed from you, feel the anger I ignite within you, use it, strike me with it and you can claim victory"
Darsha Assant
Dec 16th, 2001, 10:00:55 AM
Like a fish out of water, Darsha was suffocating. His vice-like grip was denying her the necessity of air. She didnt give in to the dark side. With both fists she drove them into his gut, hoping the impact would gain her some kind of release. Calling on the force as much as an apprentice could summon, she slowly moved his legs from her throat as she let out an audible heave and sucked in air, rolling from in with exhaustion as her lungs replenished themselves.

Dec 16th, 2001, 05:21:19 PM
Her blow had been weak, the reduced amount of air in her lungs causing her muscles to weakened. DarkStar pushed against her Force power, with a final push that was as much muscle as Force DarkStar slammed his legs back around her throat forcing what little air there was from her throat. Reaching forward he rapped his hands about her jaw and pulled back as though to break her neck.
"Feel the pain, it is the path to the DarkSide...use it, it is the only way you can beat me...or even survive this"
DarkStar squeezed and pulled back with everything he had, with a thought though not to kill her

For a few long heartbeats Darsha was paralyzed by shock, defeated by her emotions. Fear clawed at her sapping her will. Her air supply was being cut off, her neck in danger of being snapped back. Years of training that had grown into almost instinct swelled within her. The council of despair in her head was stilled as she embraced the force. Fear was evaporated by quietude. Darsha sank into the force letting it take over. Her senses felt heightened to a diamond sharpness. She telekinetically moved his legs from her throat, enough to allow the passage of air, grabbing his hands around her neck she pulled herself free just enough so she rolled backwards over him, the momentum gaining her ground breaking free of his death grip. She twisted in mid roll as she jabbed her forearm into his throat, resting her weight across his chest. Dark Star witnessed the undertaking in her eyes. She was permeated in the light. His attempt at her life enacted her to tap deeply into the force. He wanted to break her and was determined to do so.

But what part of her broke he wasn't bothered about. He looked her deep in the eye, she was strong in the light. He would break her spirit if he could, her body if he couldn't. Feeling a sharp stab of pain in his thoat DarkStar grabbed her by the wrist and twisted.
"I could take this possition the wrong way"
He commented with a smile as he lifted her by her arm and threw her from him. DarkStar flipped back to his feet and called two rocks with the Force to hover infront of him.
"Think fast"
He threw the two rocks with incredible speed at Darsha's head

Diving to the side aided her in escaping the twin rocks. She ended her plunge in a shoulder roll. Darsha then focused on a lone rock, it flew at DarkStar as she charged behind the rock, its path steered towards his throat as the Padawan drop kicked his chest.
"Think faster!"

Darsha dropped to the ground bruising a shoulder, his kick catching her off gurard. Getting up slowly, slightly disoriented, she moved on Dark Star to execute a biting upper cut to his jaw with her right fist. She never trained so aggressively at the Academy, but thought the challenge would prove fruitful in future duels if she were to be engaged disarmed.

DarkStar took a step back as he took the impact of the blow, letting him brace himself for the counter. DarkStar's left fist snaked out, catching her between the neck and left shoulder turning her slightly. DarkStar lept in the air and delivered a visious kick to the side of her head that sent her crashing to the floor again.
"Agression is powerful, but only when tempered with cunning, a blind rush will get you killed"

The blow knocked her aside as the hasty kick to the head greeted her to the ground. Darsha was unconscious for 20 seconds as Dark star walked to the downed Padawan, wondering if perhaps he may have caused a serious injury. The Jedi then sat up, holding the area that connected with his boot. As if some sense was finally knocked into her, she viewed DarkStar in a different way than before. Her vision cleared, yet sudden dizziness impelled the young Jedi to lie back down. Looking up at him, strange desires enveloped Darsha. Such feelings a Jedi should not hold for a Sith. Was it a written law? she pondered deeply. Did the concussion release the strong attraction she held for him all along? Would such feelings compromise her status in becoming a Jedi Knight. Darsha was at the appex of a journey through insight and self discovery. The Sith tapped into an unexplored part of the young Jedi, he was determined to discover.

DarkStar looked down at the Jedi as she lay back again, concern etched its self across his face as he wondered if he had hit her too hard. He knelt down next to her.
"Are you alright my dear?"
He placed a gentle hand on her cheek, he touched her with the Force, exploring, making sure nothing was damaged. There was a possibility of a concussion, but other than that nothing seemed damaged.
"I think that is enough"
He said quietly as he put his arms under Darsha and carried her back to the speeder and placed her gently in one of the seats. He lept in to the drivers seat and began the journey back to civilization.

The throbbing in her head was tremendous as her attempt at easing the pain was affected by her distraction with Dark Star sitting next to her in the speeder. Darsha thought for a moment he may be using a mind trick on her, but recanted the idea. It was genuine. She was captured in an ocean of turmoil, freeing chained yearnings stifled by the Jedi code for years.. Darsha rested her head back as the journey allowed her the time to collect her thoughts and to perhaps logically arrange them. Rotating so she faced him, she needed pressing questions evacuated from within her conscious.
"Something happened to me from our spar. A Jedi must control their emotions, but I seem to be loosing control. You probed me. Am I injured?" The Jedi's azure gaze's penetrated the Sith's mind, searching to learn if he felt the same way, or if he cleverly was masking any fondness he may hold for her. He maintained a solid mind block which curtailed her quest for the truth.

DarkStar flicked his cold green eyes her direction for a moment and she felt all her defences were as nothing as he touched her mind again, what he found seemed to suprise him as he looked away instantly.
"There may be a mild concusion, I not believe anything was baddly damaged, but I am not a doctor, I cannot be sure..."
There was silence between them for a moment before he spoke again.
"Emotions are our greatest weakness, for a Jedi it makes them loose their composure, for a Sith it takes away reason, tell me, in what way are you loosing control?"
He asked, he was sure he knew, but he needed to hear it from her. When she had fallened, he had felt something inside, something burried for a long time. When he had touched her mind he thought he had felt it there as well, yet he could be wrong, he needed to hear.

Taking ample time to reply, Darsha just could not put it into words at first. The long training sessions with her Master flashed before her eyes like a fleeting dream. She thought of her mentor before she answered Dark Star, yet he was far away on a distant planet, and could not prevent his Padawan from falling for a darksider. She decided to break it Dark Star as subtly as possible.
"This is wrong. I should not feel such things. It goes beyond all logic and sanity. Under normal circumstances we would be enemies, yet I have feelings for you, Dark Star. I cannot explain it, but they dwell within my soul."
It was like listening to someone else speak. The young Jedi could not believe it herself, but she conveyed upon the Sith Lord what has been harbored in her heart since their first meeting. There was something about him that fastened her connection to the Sith Lord. Darsha rested her head back again closing her eyes, searching her conscious for answers.

DarkStar gave a chuckle, but it was not malicious, it was an amused one.
"Would it suprise you my dear, to know that I have feelings for you, though they do not reside in my soul, for I have none, they reside in my heart, where they belong"
DarkStar fell silent, watching where they were going, he did a quick sum in his head, almost an hour till they reached where they were going, ample time to resolve this matter.
"Our training followed different paths, yet both taught us one thing the same, that this is impossible."
DarkStar gave another small laugh,
"But then, all my life I have been doing the 'impossible', I have come to the conclusion, nothing is impossible, simply mathematically improbable. What happens in this life is what we want to happen. The ball, so to speak, is in your court"
He fell silent again and continued to watch the path of the speeder.

"My Master warned me of the union between a darksider and a Jedi. Is this true? Are there dire reprocussions to follow if we pursue this further?"
She said nothing for a while, then turned towards him.
"You never asked what a Jedi Padawan was doing alone in the wilderness unaccompanied by her Master. Why is this?"
Darsha lapsed into the deep recesses of her mind, pondering on how a Jedi and a Sith could be attracted to one another. The force is amazingly complex, she thought, full of surprises. The truth was vivid, they shared a strange magnetism for one another.

DarkStar considered both questions well before answering,
"I have heard of no repucussions, but then I do not know everything."
DarkStar thought awhile longer,
"I had more important things to concider than why you were without your master, yet now that you mention it, it does seem odd. Perhaps you would be so good as to enlighten me?"
DarkStar steered the speeder round an obsticle that wasn't there, quite a number of seconds passed before the obsticle appeared on their side, but the speeder moved passed unhindered.

"I am to find a young boy whom is highly force sensitive, and bring him back to the Academy. He is said to be in this area. He is being held by a crime syndicate for ransom. This is my last trial before being accorded the rank of Knight. I must not fail or the boy may be killed."
Darsha sighed thinking of her perilous mission, and the present complications she emmersed herself into.

DarkStar concidered for a moment, well, i suppose...
"If you ask for it, I will give you my help,"
That was all he said, it was enough, no more he could say, he had to offer his help, she had come to his aid, that was the excuse he would use if he was questioned, the real reason would be kept a secret.
