See what?! Did I miss something?!
We watched Singing in the Rain, as opposed to TPM...since we have it on video anyway...and I'd rather watch it without commercials, thank you very much.
What did I miss about R2D2?!

My mom dated Mr. Detoo for nearly a month. She was coming to America from Iran back in 1976, and had to spend 9 months in Brighton, England as her visa was processed. Anyways, she and her friends took a road trip to Bollux in June of 1977. Two hours later, she had had a few too many pints, and ran outside, and vomitted on a trash can.
But it wasn't a trash can.
The damn thing warbled and tootled, and its "eye" changed color (according to her), then it pulled out a shock prod from a hidden compartment and burned her knee. As an impulse reaction (if you've ever been to the doctor and had them hit you with the little hammer), she kicked it really hard, and it fell over onto its back. My mom started to walk away, but it warbled a sad little tone, and she went back to it, cleaned some vomit off of its dome with a napkin, and looked into Artoo's eye.
And fell in love.
Ah, they had a grand time. My mom bought a pair of roller skates, and they scooted around on the boardwalk. But a month later, my mom's visa was finished processing, and she had to leave for America. Mr. Detoo wanted to stay in Bollux, saying something about how he needed to prove his worth to his father, so they parted ways.
He still calls every now and then, and they exchange emails. Every christmas he sends a care package.
