I wrote this poem for my English class. I recived a 100 on it. Yes, it is true, I am the man.

The Greatest Story

1977 the world changed
forever
1980 the world learned
truth
1983 the world cried
again

the greatest story
power, failure
love, greed
truth, fear
friendship, deceit
reward, turmoil

farm boy, lord
princess, gangster
pirate, hunter
sidekick, monster
master, apprentice
knight, warrior
best friends, soldier
new friends, guards
old friends, pilots

aunt
uncle
father
mother
son
daughter
brother
sister
family

the message
the capture
the truth
the encounter
the rescue
the escape
the death
the plan
the attack
the victory

the defeat
the knowledge
the battle
the loss
the search
the flee
the meeting
the training
the vision
the help
the trap
the reality
the pain

the offering
the disguise
the execution
the fight
the freedom
the rendezvous
the conclusion
the power
the fleet
the landing
the friends
the war
the reunion
the death
the life
the end
How can one story change the world?
Is it possible that a farm boy can change everything?
Why did his father change?
Why?
That’s why it is the greatest story ever.

The pain, sorrow, fear, anger, hate, suffering, destruction, death, carnage, the dark side.

That is why we go back. The evil in our lives is lived through theirs.

The love, joy, peace, satisfaction, tranquility, serenity, happiness, harmony, balance, the Force.

We are those characters. Those characters are we.

That edge-of-your-seat-swash-buckeling-dog-fighting-high-flighing-gun-shooting-excitement.
The sound of the blasters
The hum of the sabers
The screams of the engines
The characters
The sight of the cities
The shock of the deeds
The breathing of one powerful man in black
The music
The light
The story

One more time…
