Anyone catch Access Hollywood tonight? Apparently Sly has confirmed that he will soon begin writing a script for Rambo 4. From the sound of the show, it's all inspired by the events of september 11th.
I'm always up for a Rambo flick, but I can't imagine a 50-something Rambo whoopin ass....

Neither do I, Stallone is just too old to playing that kind of part and besides the last Rambo was just plain terrible on a somewhat interesting not wasn't Rambo 3 about Afghanastan? I could have sworn that it had to with the Soviet-Afghan War.

Oh please - tell me it isn't so... Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the first 2 Rambo movies, and the 3rd was so-so, but it is time to let this one go... Stallone is too old for something like this, and frankly, the world has changed since the first ones came out. In words we all know and love, "I have a bad feeling about this".

I do want another Rocky. I want the series to end on a high. Four had an awful ending, and five was just awful. That deserves Malboa to finish well.
Rambo doesnt need it though

Who's Malboa? Rocky's evil twin? That would be perfect for Rocky 6 - for him to fight himself... :crack Yeah, 4 was decent, and 5 really sucked IMHO. A 6th might not be bad, but Stallone is getting kinda old to play Rocky...

hot digity dang:) its about time he made another Rambo, but he should do another Rocky first.5 just messes up the series for me.And although he is 50 he is still pretty jacked,so I'm sure he could pull it off.

Great!
Rambo can go back to Afganistan and kill all the people he fought with in Rambo 3!
;)
This time he can be FLYING the Russian helicopter, instead of shooting it down with an arrow.

Forget it! Rambo will just kill russians and afghans and then keep the place to himself.

No one can take a complex situation and distort it into a simple cartoon better than Sly Stallone! Rambo was a very good action movie, and actually a surprise at the box office. But Sly turned it into a patriotic cartoon with 2 and 3. He pushed the same buttons with Rocky 4. Those were perfect Reagan era movies. What kind of bugged me about Rambo 2 was that it gave some people the impressoin that we "could of" won in Vietnam if we'd taken it seriously. At its best Rambo helped give some people a sense of what some Vietnam vets went through once they came home. Stallone's breakdown with Richard Crenna at the end of the first Rambo was a great scene. At its worst, Rambo gave some people the idea that if we'd just dropped a few more Rambo's in the jungle we would have slapped down the Viet Cong without much effort. I really don't know where Stallone can go with a Rambo 4. That's not the filmmaker I'd want to see handle 9/11. He'd turn into a cartoonish version of the reality we're living in. There isn't a quick and easy victory to be had here. And that's the kind of victory Sly's use to filming.
I've heard that Stallone has actually talked to George Foreman about his comeback a few years ago. So there's actually a precedent for Stallone to draw from for another Rocky movie. But 5 was SOOO bad that I don't think anyone is up for another round. God I can't believe I stooped to using such a lame pun.
