I've been thinking about this for the past few minutes: what if a sasquatch is just a guy who is fed up with civilization?

Maybe he gets fed up with shaving, and then he gets fed up with clothing, too. The body comphensates extrodinarily, giving you a furry human.

By this time, hes decided the whole rent/lease/loan/morgage thing isn't worth it, and that the city smells bad. Its also filled with people who aren't so friendly, don't like the fur thing, and have the IRS and the bank. Man departs to great outdoors (large portions of Canada and the NW US), where the chance of finding this man, and asking him for money he doesn't have or want to have, is slim.

Hence, sasquatch.

Well Sasquatch/Yeti/ Bigfoot legends go back hundreds if not thousands of years. Steming from places like Asia, the America's and others. Bigfoots usually outweigh humans by abour 200 to 300lbs based on footprints and droppings found thru out the world. And in an chinesse medical guide dateing back to the 1300 Bigfoot parts were used to cure diease the same way Tiger Paws are. What you basicly dealing with is great Bipedal ape that's population is a very small number and shys away from man, much like the giant Panda elluded man for so long. So no I don't think it's just some guy feed up with shaveing, and untell one can be captured dead or alive it'll be one of the Mysteries of Crpytozoology.

Suppose Morgan is right, and an emotional/mental state causes a male to descend into primas novae. Shortly thereafter, said male suffers growth spurts which shoot him to a maximum of 15 feet tall (4.6 meters for you Gav), and in response his metabolism greatly increases, causing him to go from ~180lbs to oh....say about 1,100lbs and generate massive amounts of epithelium in order to survive during those horribly frigid nights in Orange County. Yes, I think this is very feasible indeed.

Well I guess Bigfoot could be the result of a genatic mutantion of man. I mean Eye color. Hair color.......asian's eye muscle configuration are all results of Genatic mutations. We all looked the same at one time and muatations and appaption made us all the differnt colors and races we are tody. So I guess it's possible that happened with Bigfoot and over time in a limted gene pool they became the creatures that they are today. But that is a extreme amount of mutation, I mean all humans are basicly the same when it comes right down to......the bigfoot is a shot off in a whole new direction. So it is possible, but unlikely.


A more likley theory is that the Bigfoot might be the descents of the Nenterhal man. They supposely died out a few million years after we showed up........but maybe we just drove them away into the high mountains and the deep woods and thus resulting in the locations where they have been sighted.

Denying the possiblity of such creatures roaming around somewhere on Earth is an awkward attitude to have, much like the ones the old explorers used to have (The world is flat, something doesn't exist if we can't see it, etc).

ok here be my story(remember I aint much on writing

It was a hot July day in 92.It must have been after my last year of high school (those days I try and forget)I was down at a place near a river once called River Run. It was a place that use to host tractor pulls, country music shows etc. I was down there (best I can remember ) just to pass the time away and kick through the old bleachers and see what was left lying around . After about an hour of looking around I figured I’d seen all there was to see and was on my way to leave. I was walking back towards the slight path towards the river when something at the river bank caught my eye. I was ,as I recall about 200 yards from the river bank ( so what I saw wasn’t all that clear ) but to me it appeared to be a dog. I started whistling for it to come to me and made those stupid COME HERE BOY sounds. It just sat there and appeared to just look at me. I was slowly making my way to it. I was no more or less than 100 yards from it when I knew it wasn’t a dog. I stopped shock my head and told myself (I’m not seeing what I’m seeing).I slowly walked a few more yards to IT , I had to get a better look and see if maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, maybe I was seeing old brush at the head of the bank or something I just knew I wasn’t seeing what I was seeing. I got closer and from about 50-75 yards away I KNEW what I was seeing, No doubts about it was, I was looking at a BIGFOOT creature. Now all I could see of it was from the shoulders to the top of it’s head. It was down in the river or on the bank of the other side. For some Unknown reason I take off running towards it (why?) To this day I do not know myself ,Maybe to get a better look? As I was running I took my eyes of it for no more than a split second and it was gone. I stopped dead in my tracks. I couldn’t have been more than 25 yards away from where it was at this point. For some reason I was now nervous but not scared. I stood there for what seemed hours but I’m sure was less than a minute. I slowly walked to the river bank looking everywhere. I looked down at the river (I was about 15 feet above it) I looked down the river nothing. I than started to look for foot prints hair anything to have to prove my story to anyone who would listen ,and maybe to myself. I jumped down to the slopping sand on the other side of the bank to find prints but nothing, only sand sliding into the river. I climbed back up the bank got into my beemer and went home. I will never forget that day oh I may forget the time the day Heck maybe the year but what I saw will never leave my mind. The creature had to be at least 9 feet tall. I get that figure from where I went on the other side of the bank, the bank that slid into the water. When I was down there I stood on the highest point one could stand on, facing away from the river , and I had to jump just to have the tip of my hand even with bank. I’m 6’2 and when stretch my hand towards the sky I reach 7’6 to 7’7. And it looked in the face almost like Chewbacca ,but the hair on this creature was much lighter almost strawberry blonde. One thing do find odd (looking back) was there was not an awlful smell that you always here about. Maybe it was bathing in the river? Well there you have it my little tale, not much of one but there really is more to this story than just mine. There are those who live 2-3 miles down the river who have seen SOMETHING (as they call it down at there swimming hole). Not to mention the fact that at one time there have been Brave redneck hunters who have gone in the same wooded area, came out and swore that they would never come back hunting again. I also had strange dreams about a bigfoot chasing me when I was just a little kid and really didn’t know what a bigfoot was. It’s up to you to believe me or not. All I can tell you is what I have heard (other stories)and seen. Just remember this ,I look at Bigfoot being a giant ape that walks more up right. That really shouldn’t be that out of the question, should it?
