SWfans Roleplaying Welcoming Committee signup list

Okay guys, Dara came up with a great idea, and we're just seeing who all would be interested in creating a sort of "Welcoming Committee" squad of sorts. Basically, we're looking for a bunch of considerate, cheerful posters with OODLES of time on their hands to greet new members, answer questions, inform of current events/roleplays, and possibly introduce to other people. I'd like to stress that this would not be a sounding board for recruitment, as I think that wouldn't really be appropriate. You can give links to groups and such, but maybe leave actual recruiting to other members of your groups.

Sound confusing? Yay! The confusingness is bound to increase :)

So if we can find any brave souls, or maybe just some people with suggestions for the idea...please post here!

Also...if anybody wants to bake some cookies...

I may not hang out in OCC as much as others, but If I see a newbie I'll sure try to do my part to make them feel welcome.........and if they are hot chic between the ages of 18 and 26...........I'll really make them feel welcomed. ^_^

Basically we can give them links to some of the major groups here and links to guidelines and rules of how to RP at SWfans. Stick with them until they are fully comfortable with the information they have and know what to do from then on.

I’m considering the possibility of adding some kind of image(a very small one) or changing the color of the star display under the names of those that are part of the Role Playing Welcoming Committee. Anyone have any suggestion, or think it’s a bad idea?

Maybe something like "SWFan Greeter" or something but in a color...now as far as graphic...you, SWFanNet have some good ones IF that is what you are thinking... hint: Dale's study ;)
