But both posts try to dissect the second post in the thread, trying to make it sound that Tasha's post was more friendly.

Since before time itself, there has ALWAYS been a distrust of those in authority.

It goes without saying that I can't really remember the last carefree time I had on this board - in the 2 1/2 years I've been here I've spent more time as a mod/admin than just a plain old contributor.

Sidenote: Regarding the PM issue people keep raising, well I personally try to avoid them where possible because there is no gurantee that people actually check their PMs as they do their e-mails or threads. I only use PMing if someone contacts me first.

You could set it in your options so that a message pops up whenever you receive a PM whilst on the board.

I have it set that way, otherwise I'd NEVER check my PM box.

I have heard little, but gotten the feeling that there is such a conspiracy theory held by Rama, Varlon, Dara and Firebird. One that we the Staff, including, myself, Sanis, Dale, Tondry, and Nup, are what they think are a group of what we consider ourselves "Elite" RPers who have no time for those who we don't consider on our level. Just the impression I get. One that makes zero sense to me, especially considering the fact that I have done very little RP in the last 4 moths or so at all.

I'm not surprised to see Rama there - he's had no love of admins ever since myself, jjwr and CMJ fobbed him off when he pulled a stupid stunt as a Jedi Padawan over 2 years ago.

I have no real experience with the others since they came after my time. However I'd be curious to see if Lynch is also part of the bunch since his ideas and style reeks of the old Rama I used to argue with.

Regrdless, these people appear to be yet another group who feel they know what the mod/admin job entails and feel it necessary to 'bitch n' moan' every time a decision is made that doesn't agree 500% with what they think. And of course, whenever we try to defend our decisions with reason we get accused of ye old 'censorship'.

At least they don't call us Nazis like in the old days.

Not wishing to start a disagreement, but I was under the impression that all said convos were supposed to be considered private?

But what's done is done. I'm still debating whether or not to comment any further in the thread. On the one hand there's some glaring points within Firebird's et al. arguments that I'd love to pick apart, but on the other hand it could be construed that the admin body is 'ganging up' on a poster, and I don't want that situation. :\
