Today's TV Guide poll pits Star Wars versus Star Trek. With TV Guide's long time Trek bias I wouldn't be surprised if Trek edged out a victory. Right now Star Wars has 10 point lead with just over 500 votes. Vote now! We can't let the Trekkies win!

Hey - I did my part... I am a fan of both, but in my mind there is still no contest - SW RULES!!!

Latest I saw was 722 votes with Star Wars ahead by 38 votes... Go, cast your vote!!!

Just added my vote: 2546 - 879 in favor of Star Wars!!!!!

(Although, I technically consider Star Wars more Fantasy than Sci-fi. More like a sci-fantasy.)

SW is kicking Star Trek's butt so far its 3488 to 1279 that is a huge gap. Also I agree with you Doc I think SW has a lot of fantasy in it.

There's no way Trek can compete with SW in the middle of a run of SW movies. But a poll like that would be much closer 10 years from now. You know that the powers that be will keep the Trek franchise alive as long as possible. 10 years from now we'll see a Trek series with the Enterprise crewed by the bastard children of Kirk. God knows he nailed every alien chick he could. He probably had offspring scattered across the galaxy!
