I just wanted to let everyone know that we now have a couple more Style options to choose from for the viewing of these forums.

It isn't totally complete yet, but is complete enough that it is available. What the frell am I talking about, you may be saying.

Within your user control panels there are Style options on the Edit Options screen, which allow you to choose how you wish to view the boards.

What I have done is made two more options avaiable. besides the default, and will over time refine them and create even more styles to choose from, so that if you so choose, you can have a different look for our forums any time you like.

The two additional styles present now are:

basic (a standard vBulletin scheme)
Text Based (a slim and fast 95% text only scheme)

In the future I plan to create some color variations of the "Default" scheme, which is most likely what the majority of people are using now.

There was no way for me to disable inline images that people put within their posts, but if you look through your control panel options, there is a way within them to make inline images into hyperlinks. :)

I could add Avatars back to the templates for that style since they can be disabled in a user's control panel.

Avatars are once again available within the "Text Based" style, but as I said previously they can be disabled if the user so chooses from within their control panel.

There are a couple of new Style's available for the use of our posters.

Basic - Light = Similar to "The Force.net Forums" in appearance.

David's Edit: It's actually based on the old TFN forums - the ones they used to have on UBB. :)

Default - Gold = Similar to the Default(blue) style but with a gold color scheme, instead of blue.

I plan to create a few more color schemes based on the "Default" style and will implement them over the coming weeks.

The Gold scheme is a bit hard on the eyes. :\

But I'm happy with my Basic - Light theme. :)

The Basic - Light scheme is actually a bit hard on my eyes. :p I hate white, but I know that is just a personal preference. I do plan to make another Default scheme also more white based than the current ones, for those who do like lighter colors. :)

Out of interst, is one was to make a style based on a SW faction (Rebels, Imperials, Black SUn etc) or a planet(Tatooine, Naboo, Dagobah etc), would you put it on if good?

Table colors (2 for topic displays)
Border color
Main background color
Link color
Link - Hover Color
Text color
Date color
Table Heading color - Background and font
Category color - Background and Font

Background, and or header images.
And images for just about anything or everything you see under any of the Styles. (lots of icons in some styles)
User related images like Buddy, Send PM, Profile, Quote, Edit, and etc.

I'm sure there is some stuff I am forgetting but thats a start.

Font types are specific to individual PCs and usually not used by me within Styles, because some people will have the ones specified and some people won't.

Colors available are any that can be created with hexidecimal coding. There are several places on the web where Hex codes can be viewed as they relate to colors. Basically, its any color there is. I have methods of obtaining hex codes from any image sample I have in sight, by use of my Photo application.

You could try HTMLClinic.com for colours. They've got a page dedicated for all colours and their hexidecimal codes.

Good good, the Basic - Light theme is where the sig looks its worst, since those table borders are white, and it pulls the table border color it uses from those individual settings. :p

Nope. Styles based on individual characters are out of the question. Imps, Rebels, Sith, Planets, and maybe even Bouty Hunters are fair game though, since they do not cater to single individuals.
