Well, I just finished my first prop, and thought I'd see what everybody here thinks of it. It's not much, just a Kenner blaster conversion, but I think it came out looking pretty good.

I added a stock that I ripped of an old broken blaster from 78', and then made a new nose piece to look more like the resin replica blasters. (I know, I put it on the wrong way! Duh.) For the slot on the right side that is silver on the movie blasters, I formed a piece of tin and sanded it to look like brushed steel. Then just glued it on. A few changes to the scope, a D ring added in the back, and then paint and dry brushing. The sound and red light still work, and overall I'm pretty happy with it.

That's one of the best Kenner conversions I can remember seeing. Good job. Nice weathering, and that was a pretty good idea with the metal piece in the ejection port.

Thanks all for the compliments! I thought about putting on a side clip but I decided not to for now. I want to be able to holster on the right side. Though I'm thinking about a way to make a removable clip. That way I could have it out when the blaster is holstered (where to keep it?), and then slap it in when preparing to miss the broad side of a barn.
