Does any body remember what Jeff Ritzman used for his ESB Fett rifle stock detail plates?
I remember he found the real thing for them.
Jeff are you out there to answer this?
here is a pic from BYOBF...

also, does anybody know what the thing is on the body side above the trigger?
I'm building a resin version this rifle, so any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks,
Lynn

It's a connecting rod from the Visible V-8 Model.
How many do you want?

David, how much were those mahogany stocks of yours?
I might have to grab one in the future.
Lynn, on the plate details, I have to believe they're model pieces as well. If someone has the Japanese Marmit Fett fig, maybe they can scan or take a pic of the stock area. The Marmits are very accurate, and with a good ref pic, maybe someone will be able to identify similar model parts.

I think Jeff said they were computor chips of some kind if my memory serves me correctly...
The middle plates are think plates, you can see this in the pic of Vacer and Fett standing together in the carbon freezing tamber and Fett is holding the gun down and shows a clear pic of the top of the stock plates.
Here is what I have done so far.... a modifed ROTJ BYOBF kit and a BobaDebt stock.

Oh.... I looked at my Marmit Fett's rifle and it totaly sucks big time!!!

I just got the chamber detail pieces from Richie the other day, and I took David's advice and tracked down a stripped down Webley VI frame that I will be using for the base.
Upgrading on my Fett all the time. Soon I will have a Mach Two version of my life size Fett action figure :)

Lynn: You're welcome :)
Slave1: The Mahogany stock is $50 and you will need an aluminum bracket which I have a few of for $20.
I have a Marmit Fett and although the gun is very accurate you can only see the shape of the plates.
Did you locate a Frame already? If so, how much did you pay for it?

I have the aluminum bracket from the BYOBF kit, but I'll probably want to pick up a stock from you.
Yeah, I grabbed a stripped down frame for about $25 plus shipping, and I'll have to pay the dealer $10 when it comes in. Still need to locate a set of grips (even though I'll just need the one).

Jeff never identified the stock detail pieces.
He used metal plates cut to shape and attached with wire braid nails.

I could have sworn Jeff I dentified those plates as some kind of comp chip when he was building his blaster, I remember he identified most if not all of the scope parts and attachments....
Daivid, nope I didn't get a real frame, I just got a resin one from Mark for $35 in the above pic..... I do have a real Heiland 2 cell for it though... :)

Lynn, I think it was me that David was asking about the stripped down frame because we had talked about it on the other thread.

Hi Lynn-
Sorry I havent gotten back to ya yet, it's been kinda crazy with the past days events.
The stock "plates" are like Chris said, brad held scraped up aluminum plates. I could find no other item to use, and therein to me suggested they were just flat metal pieces, pulled from something...christ knows what.
The center "square" piece is NOT scraped black color, it's orange. It's edge is thicker and higher all the way around, a raised border if ya will. Indented inset dashes line the boarder, they are inset marks. I have pretty much found from a good source that it's a old math-coprocessor, but I am yet to find one. I have been shown one, but it was *in* the machine, and I for one wasnt buying the whole deal. It looked just like it to me. I have cad and max scaled models, and tooled my own from that.
Hope that helps for what it's worth.

Slave 1: You really need to get a Brass Right Side Grip. I built up a Mk2 Webley and used the hard plastic grip and the pressure from the rear stock cracked the grip.
If I do an Active project I will ask Think Jedi if he can cast the grip in bronze for us.

Shelby.... thanks for the gun frame clarify... :P
Jeff.... thanks for the info...... Could you please repost pics of your ESB blaster again if possible? I thought I saved some of your blaster pics, but I can't find them...
What did you find out for the scope attachments?
Thanks,
Lynn
