We've had similar posts from various members from time to time, but I haven't seen one in quite a while. And with all of the "newbies" on here these days, I figure this is something maybe we can all share in (new and old collectors alike). I just want to give a well deserved thanks to all of the spouses/significant others who are supportive of our hobby. Being in support of this hobby (and board) are why I feel this is not really OT.
While several members have explained how they do things to get away with selling/buying props (such as excuses), some of us are very fortunate. Some have spouses/significant others that tolerate the hobby pretty well, while others go to the extreme of having to compete with his/her better half in their growing prop collections (yes, that's you Cliff and Nikki). :p
In my case, I have someone VERY special who not only supports me in the hobby, but plans on joining next year (with a Vader costume). She has decorated our living room with almost everything Star Wars, and has gone as far as buying me some of my props. I got a trooper suit last year, and wanted to show off what she gave me for a belated Father's Day present (took some time to process):

Yes, poor picture ... but that's because I'm in it. Anyway, I now have personalized plates with my 501st designation. I know, I know ... I'm a lucky man (not so much for the plates, but for having someone who supports me in all this stuff). As anyone that's been to the Plano Cons can tell you ... even if she's not as "in to it" as I am, she'll be right there by my side. :) I'm just waiting for everyone to start focusing on her, so I can make my get-away with the props on display. ;)
So, what about the rest of y'all? Who else considers himself/herself to be the luckiest in the world (or at least luckier than most)?

PS Jeff, you'd better jump in on this. You KNOW Stacy will be checking the board while you're gone. ;)
