www.theforce.net has some pics from the new behind the scenes making vidoe on StarWras.com showing Ewan wielding his saber, without the blade and with no hole in the end. I think the blank no hole look is stuuupid. Where's the energy shaft supposed to come from?

Even if the saber had a hole in the emitter, there still has to be some type of plate or flat surface inside where the blade would begin; the hole has to end somewhere.

The Graflex saber doesn't have a hole for the emitter, it has a brass rod. Look at Luke's ROTJ saber; it's got a nipple. :eek: (Although it does have a small hole)

Well, I think they look stupid with no hole, that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Maul's had a hole - you see it clearly when he switches it off in close up by the force field wall in TPM. Well continuity isn't one of Lucasfilm's strong points :lol:

But you forget that Maul's saber is ALSO shown without a hole when he is fighting with Qui-Gon in Tatooine. As the Queen's ship takes off, you see Maul's back and the end of his saber has no hole.
