Proper position for the GK Scope mount?

I've been studying pics of the various GK's as they come across the board. Am I correct in saying that the preferred place to attach the scope mount is to line up the center knob with the trigger pin? I want to be darn sure before I start drilling and tapping.

What do you guys have to say.

I used the grill and that little nub near the back of the Denix to help determine where to drill for the bracket.

how about vertically? Does it butt up against the bottom of the top section?

Nope, that would be way too high up!

I think I drilled/tapped in the center where the "M96" is on the side of the Denix.
