Wel, for something out of the ordinary, my future sister-in-law Tab. Paul, Cliff (AIM) and Peter (AIM) could tell you about her ... she talked their ears off at the last one! What's even more strange is that her mom (my soon to be mother-in-law) may also come. Cosmetically speaking, the helmet is done. I haven't added any sound system or fans or anything yet. The armor just needs the black buttons on the ab piece, and the O2 tank on the back. Then, it wil need me to be about 20 pounds lighter to wear it ... :(

Hey Paul,

I'd be glad to help you out on that. The only catch is that his appearance is "tentative", depending on another possible appearance I guess. Last I heard (which could change of course), he won't be showing because the other deal came through. My guess is that it has something to do with promoting the DVD release of EP1 ...

Anyway, you may want to hold off a couple of weeks and see if we can get a confirmation one way or the other. But if you decide you still want to do it, you can send it my way. :)

The latest Plano Show update shows that Ray Park will not be attending this time around... too bad on that I guess. Shannon and Stackpole are better guests anyway IMHO.

Everyone else-

I have no real plans for this show space wise. The last time was about 60-70% successful IMHO and I don't need that type of aggrevation anymore. I've dropped an e-mail to Ben concerning space, but if any money/trade type of payment is required, everyone is on their own for this show and will go directly thourgh Ben if needed. I will simply be there "in attendance" as I have no intention of setting up.

I'm forgotten and I was one of the first to setup a prop display there. :p I plan to attend, but I normally setup with Gary, so I guess I will leave the toys home.

Just a note to those of you wanting Park to sign sabers. At the first Plano show he attended after the EP1 release a local guy in DFW tried to have Park comment on the accuracy of a saber he had machined. Ray would not TOUCH the saber and would barely even look at it. Park said it was a no-no under his contract to pose with or sign such unlicensed stuff. Maybe he has changed his tune since then, but before you ship something over (or simply wait hours in line) you may want to know for sure.

eh, Parks Ego trip after that first show really turned me off on him in a big way. Just give it 20 years and he'll be signing anything so long as he gets paid.

As for the show. I will be there, but just not setting up with my usual stuff. I'm hoping to hear from ben on possible tables or room space, but other than that I'm not sure what the plan is. Saturday Night would be a neat time to go over to Six Flags for their Haunted Halloween stuff. Or we could do the standard Planet Hollywood thing ;)

I'll let everyone know what I hear from Ben in the next couple days...

I'm personally tired of PH. The food is crap and I can only look at so many "screen used" repicas so many times :)

Besides, if you have costumes you could wear them to six flags that night (if you wanted to).

It's been my experience in the past that Six Flags won't allow guests in costumes. I guess since thier employees are in costumes, they don't want the guests dressed up... It's been a while since I've been there so the policy could have changed..

I got a wuick E-mail from Ben yesterday and I don't think there will be much space there on the floor. I plan to attend and see whats up, but I don't think we'll have a table as we usually do. I'll still try and ring Ben to talk it over, but I can give no gurantees at this point...

The lobby crash isn't that bad of an idea actually.

Another option I thought of with Scott Janish is to contact on of the local hotels and reserve a small banquet room for a prop party or something Saturday Night. We could bring all our stuff there and not have to mess with setting up at the show.

Tables are not cheap at all for this next Plano show. I think tables until tomorrow are $195 EACH and after Saturday go up to $225 or so. Get more than one and you're talking ALOT of $$$. Makes it more feasable to get the Hotel Hall at that point...

I'll talk with Ben and see if we can get some sort of secure location to store our stuff (ie- costumes and such). Personally I would prefer to keep our groups off the floor and away from the scalper tables since we tend to overwhelm areas :) Thats why we stared getting our own full fledged areas to start with. We could swamp Dennis, but hes going to have his hands full with the Batmobile and all.

If you want to look into the immediately local hotels for rooms sizes and rates that would be great. Be sure to talk to the sales manager or Hotel manager. DO NOT contact reservations for info. They will take you for a $$ Ride. You can often get better rates by going through sales directly or speaking with the manager. Also, see what their regular room rates are like as some members may decide to crash there.

I'd imagine we would need a hall for saturday evening from about 6:00 to ???. I'm not sure what their times and pricing stuctures are like...

I'm not totally convinced this is they way to go, but it would be helpful to at least have the info...
