I thought I'd throw this one onto the fire and see what cooks up.
I started a small shop by the name of 'Backlot Studios', and I'd like to unveil my first resin studio scale replica kit, the TIE Bomber!
Below are some pics of the actual kit parts and built up model.

If you'd like to view more pictures of the build up, please click the link to my photo album albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=250900&a=13706948&f=0&sp=1&showall=true (http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=250900&a=13706948&f=0&sp=1&showall=true)
I want to emphasize that this is a *complete* kit and all you'll basically need is glue and paint. The only difference between the filming miniature and this kit is that I added a cockpit interior, TIE Pilot figure, vacuumed form canopy glass and a custom base for display.
If you'd like more info please feel free in e-mailing me at proscalemodeler@aol.com
Thanks,

Thanks guys!
If the TIE Bomber sells well, I have a couple more things up my sleeve. There's a survey being circulated online at this link www.ao.net/~chas_art/survey.html (http://www.ao.net/~chas_art/survey.html). This is to help us studio scale replica producers know what *you* want.
Take a moment and cast your vote. Maybe someone already has something that you may want *cough Escape Pod cough*.

I hope your Bomber sells well -- I don't actually want a model of this subject, but I certainly am interested in other studio scale kits. Put me on your list, and I'll be sure to put in my vote for your next project. (tie interceptor! Pleeze!)
Best of luck!

Guys, I have personally held this fine kit in my hands when Rolando brought it over to show me and I have to say it is SUPERB!!!! The detail is AMAZING and crisp! VERY CLEANLY CAST. It is one sweet kit and you starship buffs MUST have this in your collection.
If you think that is nice, you should see his studio scale Escape pod!

Can someone post the L x W x H of this kit? How does it compare to scale to the ICONS X-Wing & TIE?

I have a SN Tie Fighter which is the same size as an Icons Tie
I asked Rolando to compare his to it and this is what he had to say
As for size comparison to Steve's TIE Fighter (which is the same scale as the filming miniature), the TIE Bomber though also being a filming miniature is much smaller compared to the TIE Fighter. The measurements of the Bomber are: 8 3/4" x 7 1/4" x 5 1/4".
I also asked about the wings and here was his reply
The louver material you're referring to was used on the studio TIE Fighters, the TIE Bomber used what you see in this kit, they're actual the same wings that the commercial Darth Vader TIE Fighter kit used. These were the same exact wings that the team at ILM used on their filming miniature.

A gentle bump for those that didn't catch this the first time.
Thanks
