You know what I mean. Paper props. A broken pencil that can be from Men In Black. Alka Seltzer Matrix Pills.

Let's list them all here!

How about the so-called "Jedi food capsules" from TPM? They're pretty cheap. Staedtler (sp?) pen caps and a sewing button with gold/silver paint job.

Same for the Watto "chance cube"--its just a hunk of Sculpey painted red and blue.

From Aliens......

One of Ripleys' little flares she lights the way to the confrontation with the Alien Queen.....
I old X-acto style knife handle, a dob of gap filling superglue, paint and sand!! for the striking end. Text not seen in movie but added for interest....about $2 total expense.

The disk referred to by Gorman as in "Ripley's report is on disk".....The computer report of the loss of the Nostromo's crew in the first film.

One old 3.5 inch disk, paint it Bess Brown, print up label....about a dollar total....:)

Noticed last night while watching "Logan's Run" that the light-sticks the 'Underground' pokes in Logan's / Jessica's face could very easily / cheapy be made with a turkey baster tip and a section of sprinkler pipe, probably no more than $20 in paint, parts, lighting.

pic to follow.

I played around with the zeppelin ticket text from IndyGear, and worked out a custom one...

It's an MS Word document with the ticket text + another with the written information — the idea being, you print the first out, then run it through and print the second on top, so it looks more realistic. I had problems with getting them aligned exactly, but it comes out OK.

I'll bundle the docs, a .TXT with my modified ticket text (if you wanna play with it), and the necessary fonts into a .ZIP file. Just e-mail me & ask for it.

Talking of overpriced propreplicas. That birdtoy prop from sleepyhollow i posted pics of in this thread is listed on Ebay for 49 bucks!!!!!!!!!

Another 'cheap as hell' prop, is the holocontainer from star trek voyager. It is a Hydropak Marsdrinker, which can be converted by sanding the logos off, adding three styrene buttons, a styrene rod and frosting the inside of the clear plastic.

I'll post a pic later

As for me, I hate it when I see a xth generation copy of any paper prop on ebay. If you offer it to recoup a part of your investment that's ok, but those ebay @sses are in it for the quick buck. $10 for a lousy copy......:(

I'm happy to announce that I'll be offering Logan's Run Runner's pain rods in the near future. Rayra is aware of this project and there is no connection between his posted pics and this project, although I'd like to borrow one of his to illustrate the prop:

Here's a prototype:

But all this fighting lately...people that is not the spirit....So people, turn this community to the light side and SHARE those props.

Now stick around, introduce yourself to the board, share some info, post some pics........basically become a board member.

Hope you understand.

How about filling a small vial full of liquid then adding the ink from a highlighter marker. Put the cap on and then put it under a black light. BINGO! You have the Memory Vial for Edward Nigmas Box from "Batman Forever". Kinda cheesy and cheap, but kinda cool all together. I started building a little black box with a clear front and a blacklight built into the top. Then I put the vial on in the display and turned the light on. Looked kinda neat.

LeMarchand

In my case the Wilson won't be cheap. 60 bucks for the volleyball and have to have the 'hair' imported from another country (no palmtrees in holland), which is another 30 bucks or so.

Hi all,

Does anyone know this site?www.jacomber.freeserve.co.uk/ (http://www.jacomber.freeserve.co.uk/)

actually...doesn't matter, their movie prop section is no more. They mainly had paperprops for free to download. Got the Titanic Rose (the nude pencil drawing) jpg(140 kb) there. However they color (light brown) of the paper it is printed on is also scanned.

So do we have a photoshop wiz here that can clean it up?
remove the background color and blacken it up a couple of tones....
