He carried a pair of nickel-plated Short-barrelled Colt Peacemakers with ivory grips. Pretty much it; the Peacemaker is still the biggest seller in gun history.

They were not the same. I believe one was the Colt Thunderer. It is the smaller with the hooked grips.

yeah, I don't know the models, but one was smaller than the other

Hmmm. Now that I think about it there WERE two different ones, weren't there? So the Colt Peacemaker and the Thunderer?
