Is there a new forum?

Okay, I go away for a week and what happens? There's a new forum that we're using? Did I miss a memo?

I poked around in there and saw that I wasn't registered. Are we all starting over, zero post counts and all that?

Or is this part of a civil war that I shouldn't even be asking about? If so, please excuse the question. Maybe I'll just be quiet... But if anyone wants to give a 50-words-or-less summation, I'd appreciate it.

Please explain, if is too much, then sum up. (veiled Princess Bride reference there...) Thanks!

EDIT: Rich beat me to it, but this is what's going on in a nutshell.:)

Ezboard wants $1500.00 a year to keep the board running or face limits with free status.(ads, 100 thread reply limits, no free back-ups) So the owner of SWFans.net is moving the forums to the new boards, your post total will be transfered on request. Cliff and Nikkida are also develping a board that will be independent of SWFans.net and it's board servers.

No big flame wars in this time of distress with the U.S.

I just registered over there. Looks fun. And Cliff and Nikkida's board sounds interesting too.

I certainly don't want to lose the board. Where would I be without you guys? (I'd have all this shelf-space, and more cash... Hmm... best not to think about it.)

OH! And Rich, yeah I've got a few people who call me Rainman! I think it's fun.
