Chimera injector guns from MI:2?

Were these based on actual injector guns, or is there a chance they're based on a cheaper found item?

Does anyone know where I could get a similar-looking unit? It's for a fanfilm.

Good luck. I have been looking for one too for a long time. I think it looks custom made:( and that is exspensive unless you have alot made.
