View Full Version : Cloaked in Mystery: Vengeance Unveiled

Darth Havok

The newly positioned Obsidian fleet ("") of the URSF, and personal fleet of one Darth Havok of the Rogue Sith Order, creeps along in the lower rims of the farfin sector, not fully complete but a force to be reckoned with non the less. Havok sits aboard the Lucifer and gazes out the viewport seeing the accompaniment of the marvelously designed, Argus Battle Station II. He ponders a few things as the nav computer is computing the plotted destination.

Moments later, an anonymously marked Lambda XIP Escort shuttle, with advanced speed enhanced engines which were prepared for just this occasion is deployed from the bay of the Destroyer, and plots a destination of its own. As it distances itself from the fleet, setting its course, and engages hyperdrive, disappearing in a flash of light into the folds of space..

In the system of Coruscant, traffic fills the skies and space surrounding the planet. The unmarked shuttle exits hyperspace and is hardly noticed, but is, nonetheless, confronted by a traffic official. The pilot holds a small voice changing device over his mouth and speaks, "This is the Imperial shuttle Vrenc, carrying supplies and provisions for the planetary garrisons..."

The official turns from his panel to his supervisor. The pilot hears faint whispering in the background, then a voice slightly louder, but still close to a whisper, speaks to them both. The cloaked pilot pulls his hood back, revealing a metal covering for a right ear, and turns the ear to the communications system. With a small click, an advanced audio system is activated and the pilot listens to the last of the conversation, ".....et him through."

The pilot growls low in his throat approvingly as the official reconfirms the order, with an obvious note of confusion in his tone of voice. The unmarked shuttle swoops down through the opened shield and through the atmosphere into the vast city, where it gently sets down on landing platform FJ-44.

:: An incoming transmission is received just before the Obsidian fleet makes its jump to hyperspace..::

“Lord Havok, this is Admiral Jamez, I was just confirming your request for the fleet and I(meaning the RSO fleet) to keep the holding position, just outside Corsin, pending our arrival of course?”

“Yes, nothing has changed from our original plans. I will inform you of any and all situations as they arise.”

“Good, I’ll be looking forward to your message, and will inform you when we arrive in our position, admiral out. Ah, one last thing.. The Imperial Prototype you designed is accompanying us, as all the internal checks have just been completed, and I have the results right here in my hand.. A fine ship it is..”

“Great news Admiral, I will most definitely make a place for it..” end transmission…

:: The fleets nav computers are set, and the larger capital ships turn slowly lining up for their jump to hyperspace. The smaller vessels move into formation with the rest of the fleet, stern, and starboard. And when they are all set and ready, they envelope into the folds of hyperspace and disappear in a flash..::

The shuttle ramp lowers with a hiss, and the lone figure emerges without cloak or hood to conceal his identity. Nearby, aging industrial facilities produce great amounts of smoke and steam, enveloping the figure, while the landing lights cause a black silhouette to form in the cloud of smoke.

With a zip sound, the turbolift beside the landing area opens. Stepping out is Darth Phantom, here to meet the dark figure.

“Sir?” and ensign address Havok as he sits in his command chair going over a few data pads at his deak..

A moment of silence, almost haunting, as it is broken finally.. “Speak son, I haven’t all day to await why you are addressing me.”

“Sir, we must cut the hyper drive now, we have a small leak, and must stop for repairs or the hyperdrive will cease, and never come back online, unless we get a replacement drive..”

“Well then do so, I want it in perfect working condition, as we can ill to afford such things.. “ he replies touching a com, and relaying the order to drop from hyperspace, and to relay the message to the ships of the remaining fleet upon their arrival to the predicted, and strategically planned position..

“I will get crews on them right away sir..” as he give a salute and turns on a dime and scurries off to take care of his duties…

The Argus II (http://www.geocities.com/lordjyanis/argus.html), with its compliment of eight strike cruisers, in which are still housed in its docking bay emerges from hyperspace just on the outer rim of Uvena, just a hop skip and small hyperspace jump away from Coruscant. The large structure was accompanied by NB2 Frigates Dunesea I, II. The Partisan Escort Carrier (http://www.geocities.com/lordjyanis/partisan.html) Wild Fire, Interdictor Cruisers Demonize, and Black Crimson, and the Imperial III star destroyers Styx, and Achilles.. The commander on deck of the Argus II opened up a communication with the rest of the fleet..

“Seems Commander Havoks vessel experienced difficulties while in hyperspace, I’m sure we will receive a transmission from them soon with an update of their position and current status. Until we will hold position here, and await further orders.” As the transmission ends, a few squadrons of TIE Advanced mark IV emerged from the Argus II and patrolled the outlining areas of the fleet until further orders were given.

-------

Back abaord the Eclipse Star Destroyer Luicifer, havok over saw the repair work of the hyperdrive seeing it was done properly yet, as quick as possible as he had some lets say, business to attend to. The main engineer/technician came to him with a report….

“Sir?”

“So what is the time frame on these repairs?” he questioned…

“Not to much longer sir, should be up and running within, lets say, the next hour or so.. Two at the most..” He says hesitantly, hoping the Lord will not blame him for the important time needed for these intricate repairs..

“That will be fine, as soon as hyperdrive is back online, take us to the Argues II, they should be holding position at the rendezvous point, and I don’t want them to hold back to much longer.”

“Yes sir..” he replies and returns to his duties….

OOC: Link to Byys' capture: Expansion (http://pub2.ezboard.com/fswvstitanicstarwarsroleplayingarchive.showMessage ?topicID=1550.topic)

Byys was a cold, dark world, with a dark history, and a dark present. Any lesser planet would have attempted to spit out the vile, evil Sith Lords that reigned on the planet, but not Byys. It had been molded by Palpatine from a bright, prosperous, blooming planet, to a dark and hellish Apocolypse. After the Dark clone of Palpatine had been eliminated, there had been a time of peace for the planet. Truth be told, the citizens were inching their way back to peace, back to love, and hope.

Within the recent years, a fleet appeared above the planet. Gigantic ships: one larger than the Eclipse Star Destroyers Palpatine had sported, and several of the Eclipses themselves. Terror abounded once again, as the Sith shroud consumed the planet for the second time.

The planetary leaders knew that thier execution would be one of the Sith's first acts as the new rulers of Byys, and were hard pressed to take action by the scared and somewhat rebellious citizens. The last hope was to fly off in a recon B-Wing/E2. They set out, and it almost seemed that they were going to make it. Coordinates to hyperspace set, and in position to launch, a gigantic cylindrical object appeared and pulled the ship in. The former leaders were promptly executed, and the cylindrical object was unvieled to many: the Galaxy Gun (http://pub19.ezboard.com/fsecretstuffoperationgun)[i].

Nearly fifty five minutes later, the technician patches a private channel to the commanders ready room..

“Sir the Hyperdrive Shunt is being repaired as we speak me lord, and shouldn’t take to long.. We will run a test jump as soon as everything is in order.. (This device, which is part of a starship’s hyperdrive, allows excess heat and power to be bled off before it can damage the hyperdrive itself.)

“Fine job, keep me informed of any of the slightest details.” Havok replies….

“Yes sir, a few parts in the Hyperdrive Motivator have been replaced and have passed initial testing. And I will let you know as soon as the diagnostic tests are run on the Shunt..”

(The HDM is: The starship component, which is responsible for building up, the energies necessary to propel a ship into hyperspace. The hyper drive motivator creates an electromagnetic field around a starship, and then projects that field into hyperspace. Once in hyperspace, the hyperdrive motivator employs trilithium crystals to propel the ship through the continuum. When the ship's destination is reached, the hyperdrive motivator projects the ship's field back into realspace and cuts the trilithium drive.)

“Good. Keep it up, we really cannot delay this much longer, we need to be in position as soon as we can. Havok out.” Transmission seizes….

"Brrrrrr, it's cold in here," were the thoughts of RSO Tactical Engineer Sri Danx. His commanders considered him a bitchy little rat, but he was vital to Operation Gun. Everybody was, really. He had merely played a more avid role than most. "You'd think," he muttered, "That with about five hundred thousand people working on Gun, that I wouldn't be so direly needed. Worse yet, I have to do this manual crap." In a way, his grumbling was not entirely out of place, he was a tech doing slave labor, but with a load of guffawing fools, a few people with an IQ higher than that of a stone were needed. "All I have to say is that those powerhungry sith had better be prophesising a raise and a bonus in the near future," a vain and greedy thought ran through his mind of him riding around in a fancy speeder, checking out beautiful ladies ran through his mind. "Hey! You! Get ready! Over there, yeah you, what are you waiting for?? Get in your lifter and get a move on! What, you think that missile is gonna move itself?[/b]" His anger could be justified, the workers had a large task ahead of them, and the missile had to be loaded quickly. The men had a deadline, and the smallest delay could spoil the whole ordeal. So, at that moment, a thousand men entered their lifters, and prepared to carry away the missile. . .

OOC - Phantom, there's nothing wrong. I've just been away from the roleplaying a bit for a few reasons. I'm getting back to this thread.

Those lifters had worked at an extraordinary pace, and Sri was happy with his men. They had done an exemplary job, and now the missile was in the chamber of the Galaxy Gun. He opened a comm channel with the Head of Department, notifying him that the mamouth missile was loaded. Immediately, Strategic Department of Logistics was notified, and the Gun gave a great lurch. It was spinning out of it's orbit, and was pointed-- straight at Borealis . . . .

OOC: I'm dedicating the honor of my 1000th post, and the following posts in this thread, to the utter destruction of the Galactic Empire's nearly completed DeathStar.

The entire orbiting space station vibrated with an ominous feeling that Byys knew all too well. It had been over a decade since the peace loving citizens had shuddered at the site of the several killometer long Galaxy Gun prepating to destroy it's victims ruthlessly. Those days had been hard, hard for them to not break down moraly, having to know and see that they could not even touch the fact that billions were dying because of a gigantic space station in their sky.

<font color=red>BooWOOMP! BooWOOMP! BooWOOMP!</font>

And there it was. The end for possibly hordes of people loomed in the near future, for whoever had angered the people above. Though they could not actually hear the sirens shriek aboard the giant in the skies, a faint red glow consumed the Galaxy Gun.

And out it burst, regurgitated from the very bowels of the Gun itself. And out it went, the missile itself, hurling through hyperspace in speeds of excess of .0003 past lightspeed.
