Pierce Tondry gazes at the report from Analysis. The man caught on film is highly nondescript, apparently so much so that they're having trouble placing him.

The other man, who has been positively identified from Intel's genetic profiles of Coruscant residents, is now going to have a little problem. Including multiple aliases, criminal records, and information on his possessions, the profile has come up with a name: Sanis Prent.

And thievery begets thievery,.

Pierce approaches the bay where the freighter Layla is berthed, briefly attempting to open the doors. The bay is locked up tight, which means that the plan will have to commence. He double clicks his comm quickly, then gazes at the doors. He pats the doors, then turns and wanders away.

And then, when he's beyond the explosive range, he activates the thermite gel pack wedged between the doors.

The sight of them blown open is very satisfying.

Edit: didn't finish a sentence. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

Sgt. Steve Dominguez of the Imperial Special Forces, on temporary assignment to IIHQ stood in the control center of the Coruscant space port arguing with one of the many moronic officials there

What do you mean i can't get authorization? He's a buddy. Sanis Prent he owns the Layla. He forgot something and asked me to file the departure papers and all this other bs that you boys make us do. Now your telling me that i can't? what the hell do you mean I can't?

The Coruscant official started to explain that only the owner or pilot of the vessel could file the proper papers, but Dominguez cut him off

I AM the pilot, or i at least i will be on this trip. Sanis has some other things to do so he asked me to fly. Now do you have a problem with it still?

The official begrudgingly took and filed the flight plan. Dominguez left the large building and headed for the Layla, when the blast went off.

Oh thats the way to be subtle about it.

With the doors blown open, Pierce turns and sprints into Layla's docking bay. He pulls a few chaff grenades from beneath his jacket and tosses them around the bay. They explode, sending electromagnetic shrapnel around the room.

At the detonations, the force fields that normally protect ships within the bay activate. Walls of sparks appear in various places, then disappear as the emitters that project them short out.

Now the only thing in the way is Layla's personal defenses, and whatever security force is coming. Fortunately, he can deal with both items.

Dominguez casually walked towards the hanger bay that housed the Layla. He wanted to jog back to meet Tondry but he knew that would only draw unneeded attention to himself. Suddenly Dominguez hears a siren cutting through the air and it was heading his way. Seconds later a security vehicle blows by him heading for the hanger. Conciously fighting the instincts to draw the blaster hidden under his jacket and run to help Tondry he just continued on casually.

5 minutes later Dominguez rounded a corner and approached the security vehicle and the decimated hanger doors. As he got close he could see the security personel lying on the ground black marks on most of their chest from a blaster. Smiling at Tondry's work, he draws his blaster slowly moves into the hanger expecting the fighting to still be going on. What he finds instead is Tondry looking at the Layla, more bodies scattered around the hanger bay.

You think you could have drawn any more attention to us?

Tondry spins and levels his blaster before recognizing who it is.

"Oh probably. You get clearance?"

Ya. Though i don't know what good it will do us if those security misfits reported which hanger they were at. But we can deal with that if we have to. How are things here?

(Meanwhile)

Sanis: Yeah, I'll take the bantha-leather one.

Clerk: Ooh, yes...its a designer-made piece. It shows off the post-empire look that is all the rage lately.

(Sanis slips on the shiny blue-tinted leather jacket, and turns a few times in front of the mirror. Smiling, he passes his right hand through his hair, as if seeing how he looked when he did that. Sanis pointed at his reflection, smiled at himself, and turned back)

Sanis: How much?

Clerk: It is a Ulu Mratan designer-made jacket. The cost is 750 credits.

Sanis: Sounds good to me.

(Sanis wanders to a different section, this one arranged with varying pieces of jewelry. He stands quiet for a few seconds, glancing at the arrangment of wares. Some of the jewelry is tasteful and reserved, and some of it is bright, large, loud, and gaudy...flaunting the unquestionable affluence that purchased it. Sanis smiled)

Sanis: I wanna see the ice.

Clerk: Ice....I don't underst...

Sanis: The rings with the big-assed gems.

Clerk: Um...oh, I see.

(The clerk bends down, hefting up a case with some of the latter-mentioned jewelry. Large square-cut stones set in what were essentially nuggets with holes in them. Sanis' eyes reflected the light cast off by the glittering jewelry, and he licked his top lip in approval.)

Sanis: Sweet...I'll take those two right there.

Clerk: Those are 500 apiece, sir...

Sanis: Yeah, I know.

Clerk (mouth open with shock): Um...yes...sir

Pierce chuckles at Dominguez, pulling a long, crowbar-like tool from his pant leg. "Doesn't matter if they did or didn't. There's some communications jammers strategically placed on the way here, and I activated them at the same time I blew the door."

Carefully gauging the distance between the floor and the bottom of the ramp, Pierce sprints across the bay and takes a jump. At the height of his upward arc, he jams the multitool into Layla's boarding ramp, then leaves it there. His feet hit the ground and he stands up, dusting off his hands. He then makes a second jump and grabs onto the tool, wrenching it downwards.

The boarding ramp slides open with a loud 'pop'.

"C'mon," he tells Dominguez. "You need to pilot this thing out of here while I cover my tracks."

<i:D ominguez looks at Tondry and then at The Layla then back at Tondry[/i]

Fly? I thought i was just supposed to say i could fly her to get the clearance, and that you were actually going to do the flying?

Tondry looks at him with a worried look, and Dominguez starts laughing

No problemo. I'll meet you at the rendez-vous point at the specified time.

Tondry nods, and Dominguez heads up the boarding ramp watching for unexpected surprises. Reaching the c0ckpit he sits down in the left hand pilots seat and starts to flip switches activating the systems. Suddenly Dominguez feels a shock through his body. He lets go of the control surface and it stops

Hmmm. Not a rookie after all.

Within another few minutes Dominguez has the ship security features offline and is leaving the ground, heading for the rendez-vous point

Pierce backtracked down the corridors, plucking small communication jammers from hidden spots. When he'd collected them all, he returned to the area near Layla's berth and slipped out of viewcam range and into a closet. He pulled off his facemask and reversed his jacket, then took off the pants he'd been wearing, revealing the second set underneath. His shoes, the facemask, and the double set of pants he stuffed into a bucket of cleaning solution, then pulled a second pair of soft-soles out of his pants and put them on.

After he was finished changing his identity, Pierce stepped back out into the hallway after carefully checking to make sure no one was looking in his direction.

He then blended into the small crowd hanging around outside Layla's now empty docking bay.
